#18650

18650 cell holders are all printed. Came out very well. Other than a couple blobs (PETG is sticky) they are all within a reasonable width tolerance so I won’t need to sand the sides or anything.

Now I just have to wait for the additional nickel strip to arrive. Slow shipping on that one, but I don’t need the battery until Spring anyway!

Of course now that I’ve printed one approach, I’ve figured out ways to trick Fusion 360 into making battery grids dynamically. Missing some features and has some odd recompilation quirks I’ve had to work around but it’s still vastly faster (less then 10 seconds compared 45 minutes for the size I'm using) to generate the output than OpenSCAD. Be a nice thing to share with the design so others can easily whip up custom sizes.
