#FedEx doesn't deliver to Post Office Boxes. Until this week. It took phone calls and a few heated words with FedEx, but I stated other carriers like #UPS do this every day, and gave them simple instructions how to do it, simply pull up to the back dock and someone will sign for it. But this FedEx driver had a longer visit as #USPS set their system up to communicate with theirs. Now I got my package safely and not dropped off who knows where. It pays to move things up the ladder until management listens and is willing to revisit policy. The long fight with FedEx is over and now all my packages will seamlessly arrive safely.
Leider klappt hier höchst selten mal eine #Paketzustellung mit #DHL.
Wie so häufig, wurde ein Paket für einen bestimmten Tag angekündigt, kam dann aber doch nicht. Angeblich wegen der möglichen Gründe "Krankheit, Unfall, Überschreitung der Arbeitszeit". Also bin ich den ganzen Tag umsonst zuhause geblieben. Am nächsten Tag war das Paket wieder angekündigt, aber ich sitze doch nicht Tage lang zuhause, weil DHL zu blöd ist. Das Paket wurde dann in eine Packstation geliefert. Habe ich nicht akzeptiert, dafür zahle ich ja nicht. Also Zweitzustellung beauftragt. Die war für heute angekündigt. Ich war den ganzen Tag zuhause. Und es wurde wieder nicht geliefert! Angeblich weil "Empfänger (Firma/Büro/Praxis)" geschlossen hätte. Nur ist das hier ein EFH in einer reinen Wohnsiedlung und keine Firma oder Praxis. Und ich war zuhause! Ach ja: Ich hatte sogar als Ablageort die Haustür angegeben, weil ich mir schon dachte, dass die es wieder versemmeln. Aber selbst dafür ist DHL offenbar zu blöd!
Und der Service ist praktisch nicht vorhanden: Ob per Telefon oder Whatsapp, der #Kundenservice steht derzeit nicht zur Verfügung. Kriegen die überhaupt noch irgendwas auf die Kette? Ich kann mich daran erinnern, dass DHL neben #UPS der beste #Paketdienstleister war. Die Zeiten sind anscheinend lange vorbei. Ich weiß nicht, ob es an meinem Wohnort liegt, ist mir aber auch egal. Ich wohne nicht in der Wüste, eine Zustellung sollte kein Problem darstellen. Aber es klappt einfach nicht. Es ist immer dasselbe. Nur Ärger mit DHL!
Ich hätte niemals gedacht, dass ich das jemals sagen werde, aber demnächst bestelle ich lieber bei #Hermes!
160,000 SAG-AFTRA Members to Strike with 11,000 of the Writers Guild for 1st Time in 60 Years
A new coalition called The Union Solidarity Coalition (TUSC) was launched by various Hollywood workers and stars, including Ben Stiller, Boots Riley. Lula Wang, Jay Roach, Daniel Kwan, and Natasha Lyonne.\

TUSC hopes to inspire workers not just in Hollywood to take action but around the country. The group launches its effort during the “Summer of Strikes,” with massive nationwide strikes looming of over 340,000 Teamsters at UPS and 150,000 UAW Members employed by the “Big Three” automakers as well as elsewhere. Strikes elsewhere, in particular, a series of roving hotel workers strike throughout Southern California, including near Disneyland, have helped Hollywood workers to think about how they can expand their solidarity to help other unions.\

“Watching people honor our picket lines touched and inspired us, and presented us with a model for unity in action,” said the TUSC in a statement. “Though the [Writers’ Guild] strike is the catalyst for creating TUSC, we feel this is just the beginning of a larger, urgent movement of solidarity between all of the industry unions, and also our coworkers who aren’t part of a union. We want to think big about how we can support each other in the face of a national labor crisis.”
