The dzong is surrounded by jacaranda trees, which blossom with mauve flowers in the spring. Punakha is also home to Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge (Punakha Suspension Bridge), as well as Chimi Lhakhang, the Divine Madman’s fertility temple.
