The books on the shelves range from poetry collections celebrating the jungle’s forest and fauna to novels chronicling the experiences of Lebanese-Brazilian migrants. (...)
The first written text about the Amazon is believed to be a 1542 book which chronicles the day-to-day life of Spanish explorer Capitán Francisco de Orellana as he travelled through the Napo region in search of gold. A 1942 edition of the book is on display in Melo’s shop, but he is quick to mention that many explorers dismissed the way of life of Indigenous people. “As a result, the origins of Amazonian literature history as we know it are quite complicated from a cultural and political perspective.”
By the 19th century, Amazonian writers started emerging. In 1852, Lourenço da Silva Amazonas published Simá, a book that seeks to give value to the Amazon region and its inhabitants, placing it as a founding element of Brazil’s identity.
But the region’s literature really flourished in the 20th century, when writers such as novelist Milton Hatoum and poet Thiago de Mello began publishing. “Mello denounced the exploration of Indigenous land and the military dictatorship,” Melo says. (...)
Since then, a new generation of Indigenous authors have emerged. Writers including Ely Macuxi, Daniel Munruku and Ailton Krerak have changed the face of Amazonian literature. (...)
“Of course, there is a part of the Brazilian population that is interested in knowing ancestral and Indigenous knowledge,” he says. But the rise of the far right and fake news in Brazil means that people increasingly have prejudices about the Amazon and its inhabitants, Melo believes, ranging from racism towards Indigenous people to underestimating the seriousness of deforestation. Vandaag begint in Qatar het wereldkapioenschap voetbal voor landenteams. Over de corrupte keuze van dat land is al veel gezegd.
Op bovenstaande foto een etalage vol voetbalboeken in São Paulo. Op de ruit staat in het Spaans:

Het is een uitspraak van de Uruguayaanse schrijver Eduardo Galeano. In (vrije) vertaling:
Voetbal is de enige religie zonder atheïsten
Ik weet niet of ik de uitspraak goed begrijp. Bedoelt hij dat serieus? Er zijn heel wat mensen die een hekel hebben aan voetbal en vooral aan de cultus daar omheen.
Galeano schreef uitgebreid over de ongelijkheid in de wereld en koloniale uitbuiting (De aderlating van een continent), maar ook over voetbal.

Quelques détails sur une mise à jour:
- l'envoi de SMS est à tester.
- certains soucis de "focus" du pointeur de la souris, qu'on voudrait toujours dans le champ input pour biper des livres, sont réglés.
- par exemple: sur la page livre, clic sur le bouton pour réserver pour un client, à la vente: supprimer une ligne; clic sur le menu qui plie et déplie le menu; à la Réception, choix d'un rayon manquant, et peut-être d'autres.
- à la Réception, rafraichir la page garde l'ordre d'arrivée.
- Réception: un clic sur l'en-tête des colonnes devrait trier les livres selon cette colonne (titre, auteur, éditeur…). Le tri ne sera peut-être pas parfait, il faudra faire avec 🙂
- ajout d'un champ "langue du livre" en base de données, mais il n'est pas encore affiché.
- factures: on peut créer une facture sans avoir sélectionné de client.
- ventes: ajout d'un truc pour le rendu monnaie: si vous mettez dans le 1er moyen de paiement un montant supérieur au total et cliquez sur un moyen de paiement, une 2e line apparaît et vous donne le montant à rendre.
- à la vente, importer la sélection d'un client n'écrase plus les livres déjà bipés dans la vente:
- sur la page d'une notice, on peut cliquer sur l'auteur et l'éditeur pour lancer une rechercher dans son fonds (on pouvait cliquer, ça marche correctement maintenant).
plus d'autres petits ajout et corrections.
