🐲🪰 Eine Frühe #Adonislibelle sitzt gut versteckt zwischen den Gräsern in unserem #Garten. Diese Kleinlibellenart ist bereits im Frühjahr unterwegs und noch recht häufig. Da sie sich gerne in der Vegetation versteckt, wird sie oft übersehen.

I went for a wonderful walk today on high chalk downland with incredible views, ending up at the surviving earthworks of an Iron-Age fort. There were butterflies everywhere you looked – more than I've ever seen before.
In the ditch between two rings of the old fort, I also saw my first ever golden-ringed dragonfly. I only managed to snap one photo before it took off again, but thankfully it came out all right.
