Hasta is wife of #Moon and daughter of #Daksh #Prjapati, her deity is #Savita ( #Surya) Dev, ruling #planet of Hasta #nakshatra is Moon, this nakshatra is associated with our #fingers. All four pada fall under #Virgo.

Pada 1 = Agni, which is Dharma, ⚡ Energy
Pada 2 = Prithvi, which is Artha, 🐟 Possession
Pada 3 = Vayu, which is Kama, 💟 Emotions / greed / lust / jealousy / desire etc..
Pada 4 = Jal, which is Moksha, 🧠 Intelligent / Memory / Vedic Knowledge

During the #Satya #yuga all the four padas were strong, when there was a planet in a particular nakshatra, but #now in #Kaliyuga, only active pada is supposed to be strong in one’s chart. If your planets are in mostly in pada-1, your mind and karma will be dharmic, if pada-2, your mind and karma will bring in wealth, if pada-3, your mind and karma will be in kama (greed, taste, relationship, journey, jealousy, lust, etc.), if pada-4, your mind and karma would like to gain true knowledge and would also be dharmic.

If does not mean that you would not enjoy the rest (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha).

Also, these four padas are ruled by different planets apart from the main ruling planet, that tells us how the experience would be.

Opposite Nakshatras by Pada
Rising and setting Nakshatras at a given time. It is good idea to have a look at the opposite Nakshatra of your rising or active nakshatra. Especially your Moon and Ascendant Nakshatras. AND all the other planets also rise and set every day at their own time, that makes more sense to have a look at the opposite, which is setting point of the planets. You can also think of Rahu & Ketu to understand this opposite Nakshatra concept, this means your Nakshatra at the 180 degree is your back balenace (Ketu).

Hasta (The Blissing hand) (160°00′ to 173°20′ Virgo)
enter image description here
#Hasta #nakshatra consists of five stars
Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma, and Epsilon-Corvi. The #constellation #Corvi is visible in the night sky just below the bright star of Spica. In the astrology chart, Hasta resides completely in the sign of #Virgo.
The word Hasta translates as "the #hand" and signifies all activities performed with the hands. Those born under this star are industrious, intelligent and reasonable. This nakshatra also symbolizes agreements and greetings as represented by the hand shake. The ruling deity #Savitar, an aspect of the Sun, is jovial and carefree. Savitar gives the ability to use the hands in a skilled, crafty, or cunning manner. They can also be used for trickery and gambling. Savitar has the power to give life so Hasta can be associated with childbirth and establishing a family. Hasta nakshatra is an optimistic star with an amazing capacity to create. Those born under this nakshatra have the ability to manifest an object of desire in their hands.

Sacred Energy Vortex
#KOMAL #SRI #KIRUPA #KOOBARESWARAR

The sacred energy vortex that resonates with the star Hasta nakshatra is located in Komal near Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu, India. People born under Hasta should visit this temple at least once during their life time.

Those who visit the temple at Komal and worship Sri Kirupa Koobareswarar (an aspect of Lord Shiva) and #Goddess Sri Annapoorani will receive the blessings of divine grace and compassion. People born under Hasta star should worship this form of Shiva with folded hands in prayer, meditation and yoga. It is also recommended for these people to perform the ancestor ritual known as tarpanam. While making the tarpanam offering, water passing over the lines of the person’s hands connects their energy with the energy of the ancestors.

The connection of this temple to Hasta nakshatra begins with the story of Goddess Parvati, who wanted to understand exactly what Lord Shiva experienced as the ruler of the Universe. Shiva participated in Divine sport, so Parvati decided she too would take part in Divine sport to gain the knowledge of Shiva. Parvati playfully covered Lord Shiva’s eyes with her hands, but this simple action caused the entire universe to become in capacitated. She had stopped the flow of water, the movements of planets and everything in the universe became still. Overcome with guilt, Parvati asked Lord Shiva for his forgiveness.

Shiva explained to Parvati that due to her actions, he would disappear into the light known as "Hastayama Jyoti" created by his own hands. Parvati would then incarnate as a cow wondering around the world in search of Shiva until she reunited with him in the form of " #Hastayama #Jyoti." Parvati was quite distressed about the situation, but followed Shiva’s orders and wandered the earth as a #cow, searching for Lord Shiva’s light. Finally, on Hasta star day, Lord #Shiva revealed his #light to #Parvati and bestowed darshan as Sri Kirupa Koobareswarar.

Those born under Hasta nakshatra can offer foods that require the use of one’s hands during preparation to the poor. Making sweet or savory cakes by hand, is a good example of such an offering. This will help assist those who are poor to acquire wealth. It is also recommended that people who are suffering from depression visit the temple at Komal. To make an offering on Pradosham days, Mondays and Wednesdays is a powerful remedy for depression. Finally, those who have marital troubles can walk around this temple from left to right as a remedy for any challenges with marriage.

Hasta nakshatra natives, your #incense is made with the #herb #Neem as prescribed by the Vedas.

Burning one of these pillars is like performing a mini fire ritual for that particular star formation. For your specific Birthstar, you will be able to connect inwardly to your planet of energetic origin and gain support with the positive aspects that are you.

Burning the other Nakshatra pillars on that specific Nakshatra day will tune you in with the favorable activities with that star’s energy for the day. It is recommended to at least burn your own personal Nakshatra pillar daily to stay connected to your essence. It is advantageous to burn the days Nakshatra pillar as well.

#Hasta #Nakshatra is the thirteenth of 27 #nakshatras. If you were born when the moon was between 10:00-23:20 degrees #Virgo

#Sanskrit Name: हस्त (Hasta). One meaning of Hasta is “ #hand,” indicating skill, artistry, and a hard-working nature.

Planetary Ruler: #Moon. In Vedic theology the moon is considered a manifestation of the mind of God. It is associated with creativity, the mind, and the emotions. The moon is especially significant in Vedic astrology, where a person’s sign is considered their moon sign.

Nakshatra Group: Godly. Nakshatras are divided into three classes — monsters, humans, and gods. Hasta is a godly nakshatra. People in this group are generally good-natured and fortunate in life. However, they may struggle with pride and a sense of entitlement.

Zodiac Sign: Virgo. Virgos are intelligent, practical, capable problem solvers who like to help others with their abilities. They can be critical of both themselves and others.

Deity: Surya ( #Savitṛ). In Vedic theology, Surya is the lord of the Sun and is revered as an expansion of God. The Sun God is worshiped prominently in many cultures and is honored for the integral role the Sun plays in sustaining life.

Symbol: The hand. This represents power, dexterity, communication, and blessings. The open hand is traditionally used as a symbol of blessing in Vedic culture.

Power: To attain what is sought. Hasta has the ability to bring goals to life quickly and place tangible results in hand.

Resonant Syllables: In India, the birth nakshatra is traditionally used as one means of choosing the name of a child. The corresponding syllables for the four quarters (padas) of Hasta are Pu (पू), Sha (ष), Na (ण), and Tha (ठ). The syllable of a person’s first name is sometimes used when calculating an astrological chart if the time of birth is unknown.

Strengths
The influence of the Moon, as well as that of Virgo’s ruling planet, Mercury, places a strong emphasis on the mind. Hastas are intellectually creative and able to come up with original ideas and new ways of doing things. Skilled in speech and writing, your eloquence allows you to share your ideas effectively with others. Your creativity may also express itself through your hands — you have natural talent in arts and craftsmanship and will likely have a variety of skills.

The presence of Hasta natives is calming. You are down to earth and not easily ruffled. You are patient and sensible, and rarely waste your time on ill-conceived pursuits. You have incredible foresight, able to predict the outcome of various courses of action with accuracy. As a result, the things you dedicate your energy to usually succeed.

Hastas wield a good deal of power — the strength of your personal character and your shrewdness make you a force to be reckoned with. When you work toward something, you do it with industriousness and determination and usually have a solid plan in place. You are disciplined and don’t get easily agitated or thrown off course.

Hastas are generally well-liked. You have an aptitude for healing — which may manifest in subtle ways — and for helping others. Charming, polite, and always eager to do the right thing, you draw people to you with your personality as well as your attractive appearance.

Hasta Careers
Hastas’ intelligence, range of abilities, and communication skills make them suited for many careers. Roles where they feel they are truly accomplishing something will be the most fulfilling. They should avoid positions that are too routine and might bore them.

Some ideal professions include:

Artist or craftsman
Teacher, researcher, professor, or writer
Business or personal advisor
Doctor, nurse, chiropractor, masseuse, or alternative healer
Weaknesses
The shadow side of Hasta is a competitive nature that values success at any cost. This results in an inclination to outwit and circumvent obstructions in ways that might not be ethical — you can be merciless in your determination to reach your goals. You may be excessively critical when under stress and lose your natural patience.

Hastas often do have to deal with stress in their lives — you might feel overburdened or repressed, and may struggle with your self-esteem. In your early life, you could experience hardship and might feel that there are endless barriers to achieving success. Your success will probably come later in life. Finding a path that offers spiritual fulfillment, rather than just material success, will create a positive shift for Hastas.

The external and internal struggles you face can make you give in to your lower impulses. If you start to indulge your every sensual desire, you could fall into a lifestyle that is morally and physically unhealthy.

You may struggle with your health throughout life. Hasta natives are sensitive and easily affected by subtle hazards. Be mindful of the environment around you. Spending time in nature regularly can be a great healing agent.

Other Personality Traits
You give good advice. You are able to perceive all angles of a situation and to predict possible outcomes. This allows you to offer sound solutions to those who come to you for help.

You are a good listener. An excellent communicator on all fronts, you possess not only the gift of speaking but a gift for listening. You know that to communicate well, it’s even more important to listen than to speak.

You may have a volatile life. Although you may achieve great things, you may also have great struggles. Your life has many ups and downs and you experience many changes.

You will probably have wealth. Although it might not happen immediately, it’s likely that you will achieve success and prosperity.

You are martial. You have qualities that are reminiscent of a warrior. You have a militant discipline and determination and a combative personality.

Hasta Compatibility
Hasta sexuality is symbolized by a female buffalo. In terms of physical compatibility, this makes them an ideal match for persons born under Swati nakshatra.

Based on holistic matching, Hastas are most likely to find happiness in long-term partnerships with:

Krittikas in Taurus
Mrigashira
Punarvasus in Gemini
Punarvasus in Cancer (for male natives)
Uttara-phalgunis in Virgo
Chitras in Virgo (for female natives)
Uttara-ashadhas in Capricorn
Shravana
Uttara-bhadrapada (for female natives)
Revati
Note: Compatibility in relationships is a complex science that looks at many different factors. You should always consult with an experienced astrologer who can carefully analyze the charts of both you and your partner.

Hasta’s Four Quarters (Padas)
Each nakshatra is divided into four quarters, also known as padas, of 3:20 degrees each. These quarters are based on a 1/9th divisional chart, known in Sanskrit as navamsha.

The moon’s position at your time of birth determines the quarter in which you are born.

First Quarter (10:00-13:20 degrees Virgo): Aries. You have a seemingly inexhaustible energy. You are always doing something and love a new challenge. Even more competitive than other Hastas, you are always ready for an argument and may seem to create conflict out of thin air. You are intelligent but may be prone to act deceitfully. You can be sharp in your speech

Second Quarter (13:20-16:40 degrees Virgo): Taurus. You are peaceful and honest, with an innate desire for harmony. You are extremely artistic and have a great eye for beauty. A man or woman of the world, you are knowledgeable on many subjects and have a mature, experienced outlook. You are very practical.

Third Quarter (16:40-20:00 degrees Virgo): Gemini. Your mind is one of your most valuable assets — you are intelligent and imaginative, and can accomplish a great deal with each. You have many talents because you pick up new skills easily and are curious to learn. You are enterprising and can always find ways to execute your ideas.

Fourth Quarter (20:00-23:20 degrees Virgo): Cancer. Your family means the world to you. Generally content wherever you find yourself, you are disciplined and able to reign in your emotions and desires when needed. Your courage and sense of virtue win you the admiration of many.

Hasta in Electional Astrology
In electional astrology, also known as muhurtha, nakshatras are used to determine favorable days and times for important ceremonies and events, such as weddings, buying a new house or vehicle, commencing a project, or conceiving a child.

The electional nature of Hasta is Kshipra or Laghu, “swift” and “light.” Hasta is an excellent nakshatra for:

Beginning a journey
Undergoing a medical operation
Learning something new
Athletic events and competitions
Performing any #healing work

About Hasta Nakshatra
The thirteenth Nakshatra in #VedicAstrology is Hasta, the constellation of manifestation. It consists of 5 stars of the Corvi constellation. In Vedic Astrology, the five stars are seen as the 5 fingertips or top of a hand. In Modern Astronomy, these five Corvi stars are called with names- “Alpha Corvi”, “Beta Corvi”, “Delta Corvi”, “Gamma Corvi” and “Epsilon-Corvi”.

Etymologically, the word Hasta signifies “the hand” or “the laughter”. The latter shows the association of Hasta Nakshatra with Pun. The alternative names of Hasta constellation are “Bhanu” and “Ark” which means the “Sun” or “Sun Rays” respectively. Ruled by the Sun, the Hasta Nakshatra signifies the creativity of the Sun.

The Hasta constellation is represented by three symbols. The main symbol is “ a hand with all five fingers spread-eagled”. In Vedic times, the outstretched hand was considered a symbol of the Sun whereas the fingers were seen as the rays of the Sun. They also connected the Hasta star with fate. They have taken the hand as an epitome of all the activities that are performed using hands.

The second symbol of the Hasta Nakshatra is “a clenched fist” which signifies determination and covertness. It associates Hasta Nakshatra with trickery, manipulation and all the works involving deceit and mystery. Negatively, the clenched fist signifies greed and ambition while in a positive manner, it speaks of strength derived from harmony and unity. The third and most rarely used Hasta Nakshatra symbol is “the potter’s wheel”. It represents the passage of time and shows the association of Hasta born natives with handicrafts, punctuality and repetition.

Hasta Nakshatra’s presiding deity is Savitar, the central Sun and the God of life. Savitar is a playful deity who portrays a laughing gesture. He allows its natives to be skilled in both mental and physical games. He helps them to gain expertise in trickey, robbery and the art of lying and deceit.

The 24-syllable mantra from Rig Veda is very esoteric and is supposed to contain the deepest secrets of the universe within it.
Savitur is known to guard the world of spirits and the occult.
He’s known to increase the life of humans and Gods.
He is known to have a pleasant tongue, is a versatile speaker and was called Iron-Jaw.
Savitur is simply invoked by reciting the Gayatari Mantra, which was given to king turned sage, Vishwamitra.
In the hymns of this mantra, you will see the line “Tat, Savitur, Varenyam”.
In translation, Savitur means bright as the Sun. The birth of children is also controlled by Savitur, who was blessed to give life in this Universe.
Savitur is also known for being the setting sun, the one who gets sacrificed.
In Rig Veda, he is known to bring all two-footed and four-footed beings to home or rest (death) and to awaken them (giving life).
This is perhaps why it is known as the ‘Widow Maker’.
