The meaning of the word Ashadha is festival or procession, and Uttara Ashadha means later part of the procession. This means the later part, i.e. the cycle of #birth of a baby, has started.

#UttaraAshadha #Nakshatra in astrology is one of the Urdhvamukhi Nakshatras (or the Nakshatras which have their mouths upwards). In these Nakshatras, things related to palaces, coronations, boundary walls, construction of tall structures can be auspiciously begun and performed.

Symbol: Planks of a Bed
The symbol for Utthara Ashadha is the planks of a bed or a small cot. This is an indication of a baby putting more weight.

Deity: The #Vishwedhevas
The deity of Utthara Ashadha is Vishwedhevas. Vishwedhevas means all Vedic Gods taken together. In Vedas, 33 Gods are identified. These include 8 Vasu, 12 Aadhithya, and 11 Rudhra. Vishwedhevas are the most comprehensive gathering of Gods.

The yoni animal of Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra is the #mongoose.
Mongoose is famously known for one thing, killing the snake and taking its deadly bite.
The mongoose is the one animal that can take on any type of snake species, from cobra, rattlesnake to a black mamba.
The behaviour of the mongoose is that it frustrates, annoys and makes the snake tired and only when the snake is tired does the mongoose attack and kill it with one hit.
Mongooses are also quite fond of Rahu (Pigs), or one of its cousins known as warthogs. They are known to come into the territory of mongooses and have them clean all the lice and ticks off of them.
This not only helps them get cleaned but gives mongoose a nice stuff to snack on.
Mongoose lives in a large group like a colony and is very social.
They are also known to breed between March-May and have a very unpleasant smell.
From the yoni animal, it can be seen that Uttara Ashadha natives will always have snake-like enemies and will flirt with snake-like people.
In a friendship, relationship or with co-workers, Uttara Ashadha natives will crush them or expose them to the world, and they feel undefeated in life.
Just like how mongoose sees the opportunity to kill the snake, Uttara Ashadha folks are extremely opportunistic, and when they see it, they go for it.
They jump into things before anyone else does and are not afraid of the challenge.
The warthogs receiving cleaning from these small relentless creatures show that they are able to help anyone in any type of condition.
They do not see species, colour, creed or caste.
Since pigs are connected with Varaha avatar, representing Rahu, and Rahu represents Muslims, Uttara Asahadha will always make a Muslim friend or have a Muslim lover in their life. It will be of a great benefit because, like the mongoose gets to feed on the ticks and lice of the wild pig, the Uttara Ashadha native will also be able to get many things to feed on through such people easily.
Due to the colonization nature of mongooses, they are very social.
They always want to take over things and set up their own eutopia wherever they go.
The symbol of this Nakshatra is the elephant’s tusk, which again shows that these natives are prolific writers.
They can write a trilogy and something as epic as Mahabharata written by the great Hindu God Ganesha.
The elephant’s tusk is pretty much a tooth, which Ganesha broke off and turned into an ink pen.
There are rumours that the originally written book by Ganesha is locked in the Padmanabhaswamy temple of Lord Vishnu.
The broken tooth shows dental issues that Uttara Ashadha natives need to deal with if this Nakshatra is influenced by malefics and posited in the 6th, 8th or 12th house.
Vishwadevas or the Universal Gods are the deities of Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra.
The universal Gods or the Vishwadevas have the power to grant #invincible #victory.
Viswadevas deals with universal moral principles.
The qualities governed by them are goodness, truth, willpower, time, desire, skillfulness, forbearance, ancestors, abundance and summit/peak.
Lord #Ganesha, the elephant-headed God, is also connected with this asterism for being the one in charge of karma.
Lord #Krishna is supposed to have displayed his true form, or the Vishwaroopa, to Arjuna in Mahabharata’s Kurukshetra, where he had the entire Universe, the Gods ruling the Universe as being one- Lord Krishna.
The animal connected with this Nakshatra is the mongoose, which could also be connected with Lord #Kubera, who carries a mongoose skin purse, and rules the North direction connected with Mercury.
Abhimanyu, son of Arjuna, may also be connected with the last pada of this Nakshatra, as he was the one who broke through the Chakravyuha formation in the Mahabharata but ended up dying.
Parikshit, the son of Abhimanyu, was the only one who survived the Pandava clan even after getting impacted by Brahmastra from Ashwatthama.
The mythology clearly shows that Uttara Ashadha natives are undefeated in most of their undertakings.
They take the right and proper actions to make sure the victory is on their side.
Like Purva Ashadha Nakshatra natives, they are strategic about what type of war they are entering into and how they will conquer their mission.
Vishwa Devas are about morals and principles, and it translates into these natives as the anchor of their lifeboat.
Even the mob boss or a hard-minded criminal will have a set of principles that they will build their foundation on, like never killing children, women, or someone without a cause.
If you pay attention to the mythology, you will understand the word “Universal God”, meaning Uttara Ashadha natives do not have a single-minded approach to a single religion.
They believe in one universal God, one defining omnipresence.
They are always interested in anthropology, history and colonization of different religious beliefs in different regions of the world.
Krishna, who revealed his true self to Arjuna in the middle of the battlefield, becomes a key figure in this Nakshatra.
Krishna was known to be very apt, and he cheated many times in the Mahabharata to give Pandavas the advantage against their cousins.
The cheating was fair, as rules of the battle were not followed initially by Kauravas.
Uttara Ashadha natives are not afraid of cheating when they realize their enemy is serving them the same dish.
These natives are always in search of the answer of the true universe origins and who created this entire existence due to Krishna showing his Vishwaroopa (universal God form) to Arjuna.
Krishna also died with an arrow hit on the left foot by Jara, and so these natives always have sprained ankles and injury to their knee or leg, especially Saturn being the ruler of the Capricorn side.
Uttara Ashadha natives are the most powerful individuals within themselves.
One of the key features of someone who is in the power/position is their way of conducting themselves.
For example, a powerful banker, mob boss or CEO have a habit of always wearing the best things and smoking cigars.
Cigars have been the key symbol of such people to show their power in the world.
This Nakshatra deals with time, and they love to wear the best wristwatches so that they can keep track of time.
Saturn, the ruler of the Capricorn sign, is also the karaka of time.
Uttara Ashadha natives come to change things, and they make a big impact on society.
They feel it is their duty to give light to society at any cost, even if it means sacrificing their comfort and life. Uttara Ashadha stands for later victory.
When a person has this Nakshatra dominating in their chart, they will lose many battles in the early life but later become invincible and undefeated.
Attributes of Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra in Astrology
Spread from 26’40” Sagittarius (Dhanu) to 10’00” of Capricorn (Makara).
Lord is Jupiter (Guru) and Saturn (Shani). The derivatives from Uttara Ashadha are closely allied to those of Purva Ashadha.
The points of difference are that Poorva Ashadha spreads out, and it is concerned with extensiveness.
On the other hand, Uttara Ashadha is introspective and penetrative and is concerned with intensiveness, the results of the latter being more permanent than the former (Poorvashadha).
The deity who preserves this world and makes for its welfare is called ‘ganadevata’or Vishwadevatas.
There are ten ganadevatas Basu, Satya, Kratu, Daksha, Kala, Kama, Dhriti, Kuru, Pururaba, Madraba.
All their attributes are in this star. The warrior, the wrestler, the painter, the artist, the magician, the well-dressed man, the happy and successful men are influenced by this star.

#Krittika #Nakshatra derived from the name #Kartikeya, has its roots in Hindu mythology. Kartikeya was the son of the deities #Shiva and #Parvati. Legend has it that in a contest against his brother #Ganesha, Kartikeya lost and decided to leave his parents’ home to live elsewhere. Krittika Nakshatra is associated with an #axe and is under the influence of the #Sun. People born under this nakshatra tend to inherit some of the characteristics of Lord Kartikeya.

One notable trait of individuals born in Krittika Nakshatra is their tendency to venture far from their place of #birth in pursuit of success and prosperity. Whether it’s education or any endeavor leading to long-term achievements, they often kick-start their journeys away from their hometowns. Interestingly, they have a strong affinity for activities like gardening, agriculture, or anything related to the nurturing and maintenance of trees. The symbol of the axe holds a dual meaning for them, symbolizing both agriculture and the act of cutting down, and it’s up to each Krittika-born individual to determine which aspect resonates more with them.

Despite their reputation for cutting ties, Krittika Nakshatra individuals are paradoxically quite emotional and yearn for strong connections with others.

#UttaraAshadha #Nakshatra, which starts at 26°40' in Sagittarius sign and ends at 10°00' in Capricorn sign, is the 21st Nakshatra in Zodiac as per #Vedic #astrology. The ruling deity or the group of deities for Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra are the #ten #Vishva #deva or #Vishva #devas. The term Vishva deva or Vishwa deva also means #universal #god. The word Vishva deva is also written as Vishwa deva.

The Vishva Devas are the sons of god Dharma, the god of righteousness and the goddess Vishva, the goddess of universality. Therefore the Vishvadevas are the universal gods or more rightly said, they are the gods who rule universal traits.

The #Sanskrit names of all the Vishva deva, in loose translation, are as follows:

Goodness
Truth
Will power
Skilfulness
Time
Desire
Firmness
Ancestors
Brightness
Peak or Acme
All these qualities and attributes by the name, as given above, are associated with Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra.

The symbol for Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra is an #Elephant's tusk. The Elephant's tusk as a symbol leads some interpretations to associate this #lunarmansion with the Hindu God #Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is the one-tusked elephant-headed god who is invoked to bless new beginnings and is prayed to remove obstacles from one's path or endeavour. Since Uttara Ashada Nakshatra denotes new beginnings and endeavours which becomes successful and permanent, this Nakshatra when well placed gives native a talent and ability to commence new enterprise and then taking it to success or desired conclusion. But when not so well placed native may start something in hurry and then fail to complete them.

The Elephant's tusk is sharp and denotes penetrating power. In evaluating this meaning, physical penetration may imply penetration of the body. And therefore the activities like hunting or surgery. Or it may even mean a movement of body or self. Hence penetrating new environments. On the mental side, it may imply greater insights.

And lastly, at many levels, the qualities of Purva Ashadha Nakshatra also apply to this Nakshatra, as one is the former (Purva) and the other is the latter (Uttara) part of the same larger constellation Ashadha or Ashada. The difference is Uttara Ashadha is more introspective and has great permanence and durability than Purva Ashada Nakshatra. In comparison, The Uttara Ashada Nakshatra is less aggressive as well.

The 1st Pada of Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra is in Sagittarius sign or Dhanu Rashi and the rest 3 Padas are in Capricorn sign or Makar Rashi. The 1st Pada falls in Sagittarius navamsa ruled by planet Jupiter. The 2nd navamsa is in Capricorn navamsa ruled by planet Saturn. The 3rd Pada is in Aquarius navamsa also ruled by Saturn. And the 4th Pada is in Pisces navamsa whose lord is Jupiter.

Moon in Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra: If the birth star is Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra, then the person will be obedient and had learned the rules of virtues. And this native will be grateful. Uttara Ashada person will have many friends and will return the favour received. Hence, he or she will generally be liked by others.

#Mula #Nakshatra in #Astrology
#Moola Nakshatra’s deity is ‘ #Niritti’, the goddess of destruction, calamity, death, corruption, and dissolution. ‘Nir’ means ‘to be deprived of or dissolved’. ‘Ritti’ means ‘natural order or right’. Hence, Niritti implies deprivation of natural order or right action.

The Niritti Shakti empowers the natives to break away from all the material shackles and illusions. The symbolism for this nakshatra is ‘tangled roots’. ‘Moola’ itself means roots which signifies everything in its basic nature. Lord #Ganesha is the lord of #Ketu, and he plays an important role in Moola Nakshatra.

This is the first nakshatra from which one starts a spiritual journey. Moola Nakshatra can be understood by Muladhara Chakra, which is the base chakra where the root of latent and karmic energy (Prarabdha) resides. The blessings and curses both are seated in this chakra. Every action is a seed that is planted in Muladhara across lifetimes.

Muladhara Chakra is your sixth house which is Upachay. It is also the centre of all the ‘Vasanas’ (desires). Ketu governs Vasanas, and Lord Ganesha balances the uncontrollable desires. This is where Moola Nakshatra comes into the picture. Since it is the root Nakshatra, the ‘tangled roots’ itself implies the ties of Vasanas. These Vasanas are about karmic patterns, where the native has to go beyond them towards Moksha.

Moola is about being tied to material responsibilities or possessions. Muladhara chakra is represented by four petals: Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. So, Muladhara is the residence of these four karmic patterns. Lord Ganesh is the remedy for overcoming all the Vasanas and directing the native in the right direction.

This nakshatra is connected to progeny. These are the people who are interested in the family tree and lineage. This is also known as destroying nakshatra. If something new has to come, the old things must be destroyed – old thoughts, patterns, and habits. It is the root of the progeny. This is the Shiva energy. Also, this is the root of the spiritual journey.

It is a Tiksha Nakshatra that makes the natives face harsh realities. It is believed that the soul’s seed sprouts in this nakshatra which is Adhamukha (facing downward), and its journey continues till Ardra Nakshatra (facing upward) towards the ultimate liberation.

In the zodiac wheel, Moola Nakshatra is connected to the Sagittarius sign.

#UttaraAshadha #Nakshatra is located 26:40 – Sagittarius – 10:00 Capricorn.

Uttara Ashadha is ruled by the #VishvaDevas – the 10 Universal Gods who represent the desired qualities in life – goodness, truth, will-power, devotion, time, desire, forbearance, ancestors, abundance and joy. Together the Vishva Devas give the strength to grant us unchallenged victory, invincibility, the strength to win and achieve what we desire. Uttara also means “the later”, so this can be translated to the “later victory” a win after struggle or the fulfillment of desire later in life.

Uttara Ashadha’s symbol is the #tusk of the #elephant, an animal that is always victorious and will overcome anything that stands in its way. The elephant will not find a way to avoid the obstacle in its way, but will remove the obstacle with his tusk and walk right through it.
This also connects it to #Ganesha – the Remover Of Obstacles.

This Nakshatra can indicate that it’s a good time to plant seeds, lay foundations for later gains, or that undertakings already started will come to fruition. There is a “never give up” quality here that will serve well.

The Moon in this Nakshatra makes it auspicious to lay foundations and take steps toward building permanent structures, be that in a literal or metaphorical sense. It may also give way to an unyielding frame of mind – so watch your thinking and interactions today, you may come across as overly opinionated and pigheaded.

It’s an auspicious day to donate money to a spiritual cause or you teachers/Guru’s ashram or place of worship and study, donate to causes that have made you feel supported on your path and guided toward dharma. You may also wish to set aside some special time to worship the “Guru” – Jupiter, do mantra, donate food.

Mose & Sam Garrett - Om Ganesha

Om Ganesha is an original adaptation created by Sam Garrett and his beautiful partner Mollie Mendoza. It features the guitar and vocals of Sam as well as supporting vocals and harmonium from Mollie. This track invites the energy of Ganesha - energy to remove obstacles and clear our path forward.

This track is part of a 4 track series called Elements, due to release in it's entirety on April 22nd.

‘Elements’ represents a fresh and innovative concept in creating and sharing music as a devotional practice. The fruit of this E.P. has been seeded through a magical constellation of friends, drawn together from the 4 corners of the world. The E.P. is a series of four tracks produced by Mose and bringing in the potent voices, prayers and instrumentation of Sam Garrett, Matia Kalli, The Hanuman Project, and Jackson & Marileen.

It is a release in the spirit of collaboration, innovation and exploration of that which unites us as a global family. Humbly seeking to honor and celebrate the cultures and traditions that have inspired these offerings. By bringing in a wide range of elements, this EP offers the listener a full journey through medicine music, mantra and something in between.
