Eine Frage an die #Hubzilla Community
Seit dem letzten Release gibt es ein Icon rechts oben am Profil, wenn eine "Signatur" erfolgreich geprüft werden konnte.
Frage: Um welche Signatur geht es? Ist das die hinterlegte rel="me" Adresse des Nutzers oder wird eine andere Signatur geprüft? Wenn ja, welche?

Ich finde das mit dem Icon richtig gut gelöst. Es fällt auf, ohne abzulenken.

In the connections section, you will see a small coloured disc next to each avatar picture, which is either red, yellow or green. If it is red, only you are ‘following’ the contact, but they are not following you. If it is yellow or green, it ‘follows’ you.

Small disadvantage: If an ActivityPub contact ‘follows’ you, the colour (as a rule) does not change again and may remain yellow or green.---

With #Faircamp it is quid easy to generate beautiful looking webpages on your pc for presenting your audio files in the internet.

With #Hubzilla audio producer get the option to host this webpages easy on the web and in the Fediverse so that also a combination with your personal network news channel can be easy realized. Also they get the option to distributed files with the fine graded permissions system of Hubzilla. So not every thing has to be public and e.g. special downloads can be grated just to selected contacts and also connect to the Hubzilla #shop app.

In an ideal case an audio producer would install such a system under an own domain but also the option to host several artists under one hub URL may be interesting for some.

So for this demo site we were looking for a special musician and so we found the lovey music pieces by ehma which are all licensed under copyleft licenses.

My #Hubzilla had this (here it is called "Nomadic Identity") and it rescued my fediverse identity.

Bluesky's AT Protocol is a great proof of concept, but probably isn't the endgame. Abstracting Fediverse identity using hostnames and WebFinger is another useful experiment, but again probably not the endgame.

@glyn Decentralised identity has been available for longer than Mastodon, let alone ActivityPub. Only that it is known as "nomadic identity" here.

It was first implemented by Friendica creator @mike@unfediverse.com Macgirvin ?️ in the Zot protocol in 2011 and in a Friendica fork named Red in 2012, later renamed into the Red Matrix, eventually reworked and renamed into Hubzilla in 2015.

Proof: This Hubzilla channel of mine actually simultaneously resides on two servers.

(Almost) everything that Mike has made afterwards, forks and forks of forks of Hubzilla, used to have or still have nomadic identity implemented.

the nomadic identity and the possibility to create clones in hubzilla is really nice! the main channel is down for maintenance but i still can socmed as much as i want.

i just have to remember to make a backup of my channel from time to time.
