Nutzt irgendwer von Euch #Kodi und auf welcher Hardware habt Ihr es laufen? Bisher habe ich Kodi auf einem #Raspberry laufen gehabt, leider sind mir schon zwei abgeraucht (nicht übertaktet und Kühlung war auch ok). Deshalb bin ich am überlegen, ob ich mir so einen Mini-PC zulegen soll. Es soll auch nur Kodi darauf laufen und die Soundausgabe darf auch gerne gut sein.

Nutzt hier wer #LibreElec und #Kodi auf dem Raspberry Pi? Ich habe das #Plex Addon installiert, aber das findet leider keinen Server. Einstellungsmöglichkeiten sind kaum vorhanden. Suche entweder eine Lösung oder ein alternatives Addon.
Hier hängt am Fernseher ein Raspi 3 mit #Kodi, das funktioniert seit vielen Jahren sehr gut. Allerdings haben sich in diesen Jahren die Codecs weiterentwickelt, und Kodi (zumindest der auf dem Raspi) kann nichts nach H.264, die neueren (H.265, VP9, AV-1) fehlen.
Wie sieht es aus bei einem #Firestick (oder ähnlichem)? Ich bin /ausschließlich/ an Kodi interessiert. Und CEC muß unterstützt werden, ich brauche keine zusätzliche Fernbedienung.
Gibts da was?
Ich nutze aktuell einen #Raspberry mit #PiHole. Jetzt habe ich noch einen Raspi frei. Ich möchte gerne noch #Nextcloud und #Kodi auf einem Raspi laufen lassen. Brauche ich dafür zwingend noch einen Raspi, oder gibts da eine andere Lösung? Das ich zwei Sachen auf einen Raspi mach, oder so?

Kodi has a feature called PartyMode, which instantly starts playback of random music. Currently the same feature is missing for Videos. This guide has a working solution on how to start playback of random videos from a remote client, local shell or kodi itself. Instead of PartyMode this makes use of the smart playlist feature.
The option for music can be invoked by the action PartyMode music action. In Kodi docs the same is listed for videos too, but apparently it doesn’t work as expected (tested on Kodi 17.6 and Kodi 18 Alpha). Kodi just starts the PartyMode sidebar, but doesn’t load any videos in the list or start any playback - nothing happens.
