"left". i would have laughed, but that was more tragic. reminds me of a recent reaction with charlie brown about #antifeminism where "LEFT" was a logically inconsistent hard conflation of whatever they didnt like. how terribly deep we are down the #orwellian #newspeak #idiocracy hole. "gotten so left" when by any sensible measure, left is not the direction taken. so how do we communicate, when "left" to them means any such nonsense they dont like, leading them to keep voting for and promoting more of the same under a different name, unbeknownst to them. the state of #politics in usa and political #awareness and #vocabulary is daunting to behold, looks set to recursively worsen in that loop, where someone put a label saying "brake" on the accelerator pedal, and those stamping on it dont realise from the turbo supercharger lag that it's mislabelled. oh to send her a link to the #politicalcompass to help her find her way. ... if only she would. people get so set in their hypnosis, indoctrination, propaganda spin, misinformation, unable to see their cognitive dissonance, identifying with their bs, psychologically dissuaded from embracing any transformative sublimation of their views, seeing such as an attack on they themselves, their limbic system jumping in ahead of their higher thinking. so tragic. what hope is there in such situations? how may seeds of ideas find root in the soil of such minds and cultures? pray. pray for them all. may intellectual well-being and logical consistency find us all, so the innate compassionate ethical decency may find traction taking us in the beneficial directions so sought.
