Big picture thus far -
And a great monologue/overview) from Colbert last night, who got additional praise and attention for his focus on "the fifth... the fifth" along with the rest of it, from #TrumpVIrus tantrums in cars, throwing plates, etc. Great synopsis for anyone who didn't see it live or one of the after-event panel discussions, etc. A truly mind-boggling expose/portrait of a certifiably unfit would-be King:

Meanwhile, in popular #media news, #Colbert (Late Show/CBS) had some interviews w/Congresspeople (scheduled and done) but the crew and comedian/voice Robert Smigel as "Triumph the Insult Comic Dog" got arrested by Capitol Police for walking the halls afterwards, bits of improv, shooting some quick bits. I'm guessing CBS will pay some fines. Hope they're treating the Insult Comic Dog well. And yes, it's good that there was security, and rules. But, but... Triumph the Insult Comic Dog!

And meanwhile, #2 Youtube banned a video from the Jan 6 Committee.... (Elon?)

Regarding the question of Monday's unannounced absence of Stephen Colbert from The Late Show last night.

After blinking & checking (again) the TV/program guides, promising "new", w/Sarah Silverman...

I turned to Kimmel (always a treat) and saw him thank Colbert for sending chicken soup. Started to think about all the COVID positives.
