Die Zulassungsstudie fand keinen signifikanten Schutz vor schwerer Erkrankung oder Tod und wurde nach wenigen Monaten planwidrig entblindet.

Alle späteren Zulassungsstudien, auch die für den aktuellen Impfstoff, beruhen auf Mäuseexperimenten oder Laborwerten (Antikörper).
