#aptitudetestadvocate

i'll re-tell this story again.

when i was in a training institute, one of the part-time tutors was fascinated by me, and, snuck out an #aptitudetest from the gov employment and "social security" institution from across the road that she also worked at, for me to take. i only got to take about half of its couple dozen or so tests within its whole range of tests. it tested not just #iq which you may have heard of, (itself separated to 3 tests, for #visualinteligence #verbalinteligence and #mathsinteligence), but then also #emotionalinteligencequotient #eq, #wisdomquotient #wq, psychelogical, psychiatric, intraspective, introspective, philosophical, metaphystical, spiritual, religious, moral, ethical, sporting, physical, mechanical, physiological, dance, musical, ... social, political, ... i think (diminishing certainty of recollection) ecconomic, accounting, geometric, artistic, aesthetic, biological, genetic, environmental, spacial, geocentric, medical, electromagnetic, chemical, alchemical, astrological, psychedelic, theological, natural, scientific, sentience, ... ... and a few others i forget. it astonished me that this wasn't the first piece on the curriculum, the first thing taught to us in all schooling, and re-referenced & re-tested as frequently as we liked.

everything else looked liked nonsensical fumbling in the dark without this knowledge.

even just the array of the tests, their specificity, those tests, just to see them listed, was a mind opening revelation. perhaps you too were a little too hemmed in in your thinking by the noise of the logical/emotional as-if-there's-only-two. understandable, given how much lip service that gets.

i see this as a piece of #emancipationtechnology, that if were availed freely openly to us all, we would all be better empowered to do what we're better suited to and do better, and not mistake ourselves better in areas we may not be, and find areas we may not have realised we excel at, and find better ways to interactively deploy ourselves, and on and on. find out things you dont know. be better by it. the point being... this sort of #fullspectrumaptitudetest should be availed to us all so we fathom ourselves to so well deploy ourselves to make all better by it. such tests should not be hidden in the bottom of a cupboard. these full spectrum aptitude tests should be availed to all.

It's odd, I have an #IQ three standard deviations above the mean, and I read books and watch #documentaries on subjects like #politics, #economics, and #history on an almost daily basis. My friends and family know all this, yet the moment I hold forth an opinion on these subjects I'm spoken to as if I'm a fool by anyone who doesn't see things exactly the same way. So much for #civildiscourse . I want to encourage everyone who happens to see this to follow #WheatonsLaw and be respectful of anyone making intelligent comments, or at least is clearly making a sincere effort to use #reason and/or #logic with respect to the issues of the day. These are rare things that we need to encourage.

Jewish community commits #intellectual #suicide before our eyes

Three acts of #censorship in New York demonstrate the desperate pass to which Zionism has brought the American Jewish community: we are walking away from our greatest treasure, literacy.

Two days ago I reported that the Museum of Jewish Heritage had spiked a panel featuring John Judis’s book on Truman and Israel because that book, which says that Truman was for the separation of church and state and took a dim view of Zionism but the lobby compelled him to act against his principles, is just too scary and controversial.

Yesterday we reported that Ramaz School in New York had barred Rashid Khalidi from speaking and that students had risen up demanding that the prohibition be lifted. Jerry #Haber says:

No doubt the school is fearful of alienating its donor base. No explanation has been given so far.

Then there’s the news that Judith #Butler was supposed to give a talk about Kafka at the Jewish Museum of NY on March 6 and withdrew after people began flipping out over her endorsement of BDS (boycott, divestment and sanctions of Israel). Again, donor pressure is cited.

Despite the event being non-political, critics contended that hosting someone who advocates against Israel at a museum that receives charitable contributions from the Jewish community crossed the line.

“The hosting of [BDS] advocate Judith Butler by The Jewish Museum is a slap in the face to every Jew,” Richard Allen, head of JCC Watch, told JNS.org.

The museum said in a statement, “[Butler] was chosen on the basis of her expertise on the subject matter to be discussed. While her political views were not a factor in her participation, the debates about her politics have become a distraction making it impossible to present the conversation about Kafka as intended.”

This is truly disgraceful. The #Jewish community is in #IQ freefall, and it’s happening before our eyes. The crazy uncles in our community are putting their feet down about who can come into the house, and other forbears are accepting the prohibitions out of some tribal impulse that recalls the self-destruction of the Shabbatai Tzvi collective delusion of the 1600s.
