#NYC’s #government #chatbot is lying about city laws and regulations

That tendency seems poised to cause some serious problems now that a chatbot run by the #NewYork City government is making up incorrect answers to some important questions of local law and municipal #policy.

The technology-loving mayor is seeking bids from tech companies around the globe, but he had #police demonstrate one system in which a red box appears on an iPad if there's a #weapon, and shows where it is.

Spring is springing (soon) in New York...

Just a phone snapshot from while walking about on a drizzly, chilly day...

It's been very changeable, actually, beautiful & bright (but cold), a. warm day here & there, some dark rainy days, and rinse/repeat.

Actually some here are enjoying the many sightings of daffodils, thinking the tulips are soon to come, while doves are returning to windows.... (who?) Like this photo, most of the displays are in local street displays/private gardens, with last weekend bringing out many urban gardeners plus building and city landscapers. And soon, art...

Anyway,, just happy to see the faith we have that it will soon be a happy time for flowers, daffodils next.
Sorry the post from the street came out 'limited' (and thus looping many notices), as well as rotated.

Onward.... was just walking to the post office to mail in some tax stuff when I noticed this. Spring is here.

Oh yes, public post now so I should mention my collection of real "flower photography" @

The best of "snow photos" in my neighborhood yesterday.
Some may call it a "dusting". But it's the first snow I've seen in NY for a few years. (We've become a 'semi-tropical island'!)

Dark and not a pretty day, but some of the tree/planter displays were sort of nice. (When you get lemons... 'lemonade!)
Not that I'm longing for our old-fashioned blizzards like we used to see.

Here are some more wintery, "classic" images of Central Park in Winter White.

Man starts fire at New York court hosting Trump trial, injuring 17

A man deliberately started a fire at the New York state supreme court building where Donald Trump’s civil trial is currently being heard, resulting in minor injuries for 17 people, according to FDNY officials.

A court spokesperson said the man set fire to court papers at about 4.15pm on the fourth floor of the building, located at 60 Centre Street in Lower Manhattan, then he used a fire extinguisher to douse it.

An office of court administration spokesperson, Al Baker, said in a statement that the fire department responded and three floors of the courthouse were evacuated. There were no serious injuries reported and the unidentified man was arrested, Baker said.

FDNY officials said 17 people suffered minor injuries, believed to be caused by irritant exposure from the use of the fire extinguisher. Two people, a sergeant and a court officer, were taken to a local hospital, according to ABC7 New York. Most of the injured were court officers.

The incident came hours after the conclusion of testimony in the former US president’s civil fraud case on the building’s third floor. Closing arguments in the case are set to begin next month. There was no indication so far that the fire was related to the Trump trial.

The judge presiding over the case, Arthur Engoron, was among those evacuated; they were permitted to return shortly after the incident. Trump was not in the building.
