S’opposer au massacre à Gaza !
C’est forcément limité d’écrire depuis ici un court article sur cette situation, mais le silence semble pire. On ressent le besoin de mettre des mots sur ce qu’il se passe, pour faire sortir les émotions. Aussi pour tenter de s’extraire un peu de la propagande médiatique et étatique. Même si les mots ne suffiront jamais à faire face à cette violence profondément injuste qui s’abat sur une population entière. Plus de 2 millions de personnes, coupables d’être parquées dans cette prison à ciel ouvert et de ne pas vouloir (et même pouvoir) en sortir. Et pour aller où ?
La situation actuelle horrible est une des étapes d’un processus colonial d’écrasement organisé depuis plus de 75ans dans cette région. Le gouvernement d’Israël en est aujourd’hui l’acteur au premier plan, mais il ne doit pas nous faire oublier la participation et la responsabilité historique et actuelle de nombreuses puissances occidentales dans cette situation invivable. De l’administration britannique qui « cède » la Palestine (qu’elle s’est appropriée 30 ans plus tôt) pour la création de l’État d’Israël en 1947, jusqu’aux Etats-Unis qui est son fidèle soutien. En passant par la France qui, hier comme aujourd’hui, a les mains pleines du sang des juif.ve.s exterminé.e.s (pendant la collaboration de Vichy) et des palestinien.ne.s massacré.e.s (par son soutien historique à l’Etat d’Israël et sa vente d’armes).
La situation à Gaza est une des faces visibles de l’iceberg, mais la violence coloniale s’exerce quotidiennement dans l’entièreté du territoire dominé par l’État Israëlien (y compris en Cisjordanie). Expropriations, exploitation des ressources et des humains, humiliations, arrestations, bombardements, rafles, tortures, assassinats, la liste est interminable.
Et cette violence extrême, présentée maintenant comme une « réponse légitime » n’a pas commencé après les attaques du 7 octobre, loin de là.
Les résistances déterminées de la population, en lutte face à ces injustices, sont depuis toujours systématiquement réprimées par l’armée israëlienne de Tsahal. La contestation du régime colonial côté Palestinien est chaque fois écrasée dans le sang. Sans que cela ne les excuse, on doit aussi prendre en compte cette réalité quand on regarde les atrocités commises sur la population Israëlienne le 7 octobre.
De la même manière on ne peut pas regarder ce qu’il se passe dans cette région comme une guerre à armes égales entre deux armées qui s’affronteraient. Malgré le soutien qu’ils reçoivent respectivement d’autres États, la force militaire et politique du Hamas n’a rien à voir avec celle de l’État d’Israël. Cela ne le rend pas moins dangereux pour autant. L’organisation vise à l’indépendance de la Palestine pour y imposer son projet totalitaire de domination militaire, politique et religieuse. C’est une pourriture toxique qui cherche à aspirer les résistances diverses et la colère des populations, en se présentant comme la seule voie existante et possible.
On nous martèle cette histoire mensongère de camps homogènes, des populations entières qui seraient unies derrière le Hamas d’un côté, et le gouvernement d’Israël d’autre part. Des raccourcis qui opposeraient les juif.ve.s aux musulman.e.s, dans un soit-disant « choc de civilisation ».
Mais il n’y a pas une position commune pour « les juif.ve.s » pas plus que pour « les musulman.e.s ». De la même manière, l’équation « Juif = Israëlien = blanc = islamophobe » et « Palestinien = Musulman = non-blanc = antisémite » sont fausses et ont des conséquences graves. Ces visions binaires et racistes cherchent à gommer les réalités différentes et les contradictions politiques profondes, les intérêts divergents et les luttes qui traversent ces prétendus « camps ». Et cette manipulation de l’opinion est une vieille recette bien connue des politiciens guerriers pour asseoir leur pouvoir et forcer une unité nationale face à un ennemi commun.
Ces discours sont puissants et fonctionnent malheureusement très bien. Ils viennent s’appuyer sur des violences et des vécus de racisme bien réels, des traumatismes et des peurs, et rendent difficile et marginal leurs refus.
Comment ne pas adhérer à une haine de l’Autre quand on nous le présente comme responsable de toutes nos souffrances ? Comment ne pas adhérer à l’idée d’un État pour nous protéger quand c’est la seule solution qu’on nous vend pour en finir avec les horreurs passées et actuelles ?
Des paroles et des actes parviennent malgré tout à refuser ces logiques. Comme il y a peu de temps, où des contestations multiples se confrontaient aux pouvoirs en place de chaque côté du mur. Que des Israëlien.ne.s aussi s’engagent dans la lutte contre le colonialisme et contre leur gouvernement d’extrême-droite. Que des solidarités arrivent à se tisser par delà le nationalisme et le racisme, comme ces manifestations de femmes Israéliennes et Palestiniennes qui, tout début octobre, prenaient encore la rue ensemble pour exiger la paix. Sans parler de tout ce qui nous échappe depuis ici, mais qui existe, volontairement invisibilisé par les tenants du pouvoir et leurs relais.
La violence coloniale de l’État d’Israël a des particularités qu’on ne peut oublier quand on veut s’y attaquer. Les parallèles qui sont parfois faits ici avec la colonisation française en Algérie ont leurs limites. L’histoire de la création d’Israël est complexe, et ne peut se résoudre par une injonction à ce que les Israëlien.ne.s rentrent « chez eux ». Contrairement aux colons Français, il n’y a pas pour tout.e.s de territoire de base où retourner. La persécution et l’instrumentalisation des juif.ve.s, qui existe à travers le monde depuis des centaines d’années, ne peut pas justifier la création d’un État colonial en Palestine, mais elle ne peut pas non plus être effacée.
En Palestine comme ailleurs, le problème n’est pas le fait d’être « originaire » ou pas de la région où l’on vit, mais la domination de certaines personnes sur d’autres. Le problème c’est le fait que des États et leurs dirigeants s’approprient des territoires qu’ils pillent, que des populations soient exploitées pour l’économie capitaliste, que des modes de vies soient imposés, que des personnes en déshumanisent d’autres pour justifier de les écraser.
La destruction des Etats, dont celui d’Israël, est une nécessité pour viser un monde plus désirable. Et s’attaquer en parallèle au capitalisme et à tous les systèmes qui permettent l’exploitation et la domination.
Ces belles idées paraissent bien décalées face à la violence des bombes. Comment alors agir concrètement aujourd’hui, depuis ici ? Comment se solidariser de personnes qui luttent aussi pour leur survie ? Il n’y a malheureusement pas de réponse toute faite. Mais il nous faut commencer par dépasser l’immobilisme et la sidération face aux horreurs qui se noient dans le flux d’informations.
Ne rien attendre des États qui agissent selon des intérêts qui ne seront jamais les nôtres.
Attaquer les institutions et les entreprises qui profitent de cette situation.
S’opposer aux discours et aux actes racistes qui se répandent, qu’ils visent les juif.ve.s, les musulman.e.s ou toutes autres personnes.
Saboter la propagande et l’ambiance militariste qui prépare nos esprits et nos corps à la guerre ici.
Faire exister une critique des États, des nations, des frontières et de tous les moteurs des massacres passés et à venir.
Et se solidariser d’autres personnes en lutte, à Gaza comme ailleurs, qui essaient de ne pas renforcer ces logiques !

It hurts, really hurts that the world has to witness once again the same thing we have seen so many times before, but hoping that the kids of today are stronger and more successful than we were, maybe they can finally help ending this ongoing criminal actions by the "chosen people" against the "human animals".
And I listened to it one more time, with tears in my eyes after watching the videos of families trying to identify remains of their loved one recovered from a mass grave at Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis. I listen to it as I did live in 1990, and so many times after that in the past 36 years and sadly, the news on the TV is the same, so is the reaction from the Israeli politicians and our beloved neutral high morality leaders.
