Initially a track of Melanie's album #GatherMe, produced by Melanie's husband Peter Schekeryk, it was known also as "The Rollerskate Song" due to its chorus. It was her greatest success, scoring No. 1 on the #Billboard #Hot100 singles chart during December 1971 and January 1972. Billboard ranked it as the #No9SongOf1972. Adam Kubota also often performs with Carling and her family here in NorCal. I think he must live somewhere in the Bay Area. The location is, I can see, a bar, but I don't know where. No Carling stunts here except playing multiple instruments.

There's another video where she sings, tap dances, plays 8 different instruments, and does the stunt where she plays 3 trumpets at the same time and the one where she balances the trumpet on her lips and plays it without touching it with her hands.

Nina Hagen (1989)

This is the last track on Nina Hagen's album Nina Hagen. This is after NunSexMonkRock and Nina Hagen in Ekstasy. This is still one of my favorite Hagen tracks. This melody is Schubert's, I believe, from "Ellen's Third Song," (much better known simply as "Ave Maria"). These lyrics are not Schubert's. I've heard Latin lyrics for "Ave Maria" with this same melody. So did Hagen write these lyrics? Here they are.
