"Former Post Office CEO Paula Vennells refused to comment today when questioned by Channel 4 News if she lied to MPs. It was the first time she has been seen publicly since this programme released damning revelations confirming Post Office management knew of issues with remote access to its Horizon system, several years before prosecutions were halted."

Paula Vennells is scheduled to appear before the enquiry for three whole days. Former Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi said from 3:3 that Paula Vennells held great power in her position at the Post Office, and with that power came great responsibility, but she had chosen to harm a lot of people. He added that there's enough circumstantial evidence for her to answer to Corporate Manslaughter as she still went ahead with prosecutions KNOWING that the software was faulty.

I’m going to bookmark these for myself so long as most of my incoming deliveries via SAPO have been dramatically delayed, and one even had the item inside stolen (and replaced with a metal weight).

It is better for your sanity often to pay more to a 3rd party to have your delivery taken care of. Although the post office has always been the cheapest, the risk is becoming too much, and many 3rd parties are at least getting a lot cheaper. For example, selling items online via BobShop, can have door-to-door courier delivery fees as cheap as R30 per delivery.

SA Post Office signs deal with US online shopping giant Wish to improve deliveries - If they can get end-to-end tracking visibility right it will be something!

Yes it sounds like 'wish'-ful thinking, and it's true that an average 50% plus faster transit time for our post office won't be noticed at all, but if they can get end-to-end tracking right that is really something because right now anything non-courier entering the SA Post Office seems to go into an endless hole in time. Even a query takes a week to two weeks to even get an answer, and then it is often 'we have no record of that shipment arriving'.
