Contactless Hall Sensors can be a drop-in replacement for drifting PS4 Game Console Joysticks
Yes, if a joystick uses friction-based materials, they are going to wear out over some time and need to be disposed of and replaced. I suppose the issue is that manufacturers would just love to sell you more replacements. I would be prepared to spend a bit more on an item that is good quality and will last a few years longer.
The fix shows here is to yank the potentiometers off a PS4 joystick and replace them with contactless Hall effect sensors. The end of the shaft for each axis gets a diametral neodymium magnet attached to it, while a 3D printed bracket holds a tiny custom PCB in close proximity. The PCB has an AS5600 Hall sensor, which translates the shaft angle to an analogue voltage output. After programming the chip over its I2C bus, the sensor outputs a voltage proportional to the angle of each shaft, just like the original pots, but without all the wear and tear.

Having #JIT privilege means that fully compromising the emulator, including the #compiler co-process, would grant the ability to run fully arbitrary native code (not just ROP) on the PS4/PS5 without the need for a kernel exploit. This would be especially convenient on the PS5 because the newly introduced hypervisor enforces that code pages (both userland and kernel) are not readable, and I don't have the patience to try to write a blind kernel #exploit again as I did when I ported BadIRET to the PS4 without a #kernel dump.

Die #Gamer-Szene war auf D* früher mal aktiver, heutzutage hängen die eher auf #Twitch, usw. Schade eigentlich, es gibt echt tolle #Spiele zu entdecken (nebst #Soundtrack/s). Da ich keine #Playstation habe, schaue ich mir die #Game/s gerne mal als #LetsPlay an. Beeindruckende #Grafik und ein geniales Detailreichtum. Tolles Spiel. Und dieser Soundtrack ist wirklich schön gemacht. <3

Ich habe am Wochenende ein interessantes #Spiel als #LetsPlay bei #Domtendo entdeckt.
STRAY
Der Spieler steuert eine streunende #Katze, die sich in einer von Robotern bevölkerten Welt verliert und versucht in die alte Welt, zur Familie zurückzukehren. Gesteuert wird die Katze aus der #Third-Person-Perspektive. Begleitet wird sie von einer Drohne, die dabei helfen kann, die Sprache der Roboter zu übersetzen und gefundene Gegenstände zu lagern. Fokus des #Open-World-Spiel/s liegt auf der Erkundung der Welt, dem Lösen von Rätseln sowie dem Überleben in einer teilweise feindlichen Welt.
Da das Spiel nur für die #PS4, #PS5 und #Windows erhältlich ist, werde ich mich mit dem "Lets Play" zufrieden geben. Für Interessierte mal die #YouTube #Playlist beigefügt.

Kurzes, persönliches Fazit: Hat schon beim zuschauen Spaß gemacht, da das Spiel eben auch Elemente wie: Gesellschafts-, Konsum- und Umweltkritik, mit eingebaut hat. Ich wünsche viel Spaß beim gucken, oder spielen. 👍 🙂
