This is a real gem. The museum sits on an island in the city's Isar river and is one of the most exciting places to go. The focus is history and applied science and technology.
One, for sheer size (can spend a full day in there easily), and two for nifty details in architecture (roof terrace, see photo, and underground tunnels) and every exhibition (interactivity in all parts).
An excellent team is running the thing on a consistently high level.

In arger Verklärung von unbekannten, aber modisch beliebten Gegenden der Welt hat sich Potsdam einst das chinesische Tee-Haus in den Park Sanssouci gestellt. Gestern hab ich nochmal nachgeguckt.
Fun anecdote: showing this building to visitors from Taiwan (and I imagine from most any region in East Asia) regularly elicits laughter and disbelief. Well, I am amused too. This _is_ how late 18th century artists and architects objectified their own contemplations of an imagined China. Can't help it. Europe is weird sometimes.

Bobo liked to poke his head out the window when driving through Taibei. Sylvia's family dog was the friendliest I ever met, he too accepted me, the Westerner, as family.
In the car every now and then he'd sneeze and was clearly enjoying every second of the ride, as you can see. This is an old photo from 2004.
EXIF may tell you an SP-2000 Fujifilm machine digitized the film; boy was I a frequent customer in that small photo shop when in Taiwan. Friendly staff was surprised and happy I came by often with new rolls of film. Getting a CD from each cost almost nothing extra (100NTD maybe? Less than 3€) and I got these early photos from my Canon SLR in acceptable quality.

Random holiday photos: Horses in Brandenburg against the setting sun. Actually I was about to leave a restaurant when nearby the sun backlight caught my eye, as did the horses. Such a pretty scene!
(Also I feel I want my old Moto XT1572 camera quality back. Very little sharpening, and a very good lens. My new Pixel 6 is excellent, but *sigh)
