#rankedchoicevoting

4 States will have #Rankedchoicevoting on the ballot this year which will give 3rd parties a real chance and NOT split the vote. NV, OR, ID and CO. This will heavily strength the third parties of ME and AK moving us to 6 states where duvergers law no longer matters. If you have some extra cash to donate to their causes or fairvote.org please do so. The more states that get this the more citizens will learn about it and demand it. Mudslinging drops to zero between candidates because they have to appeal to everyone in hopes of being at least their second choice and the most average of ideas of the population tends to win instead of 2 big tent groups with one usually being a insane radical extreme.

If trends hold, in 2028 or 2032, there will no longer be a #republican party. If the #GOP lose #Texas, they are over as a party, and can never win the #presidency again. It is at that point that #3rd parties will start jockeying for power and we could end up with 4 parties like when the whigs collapsed, though for several elections the #dems will have the majority votes. Most likely the new national party will build their power out of the states with #rankedchoicevoting . Libertarians, working families parties, democratic socialists and the green party are all possible candidates. If we are very lucky, more and more states will adopt RCV and make sure there are no longer any two dominating national parties.
