Both Humza Yousaf & Rishi Sunak seem more selected than elected.

#thisisnotwhatdemocracylookslike = #selectednotelected.
Both seem removed from popular opinion, even deranged from reality.
#weareinalotoftrouble #notthecriteria #fortrue #democracy #inthe #uk #and #scotland
(ps...)
(And why does #england not have its own devolved assembly like scotland and #wales?)
(And as i ask that pointed question, I realise I dont know who's the leader of the welsh assembly, so look it up, and, Humphrey Vaughan ap David Gething, new fella, just last month. So was he actually more genuinely elected, and not selected by the inner party? "Gething won the Welsh Labour leadership election to replace Mark Drakeford and become First Minister of Wales, making him the first black leader of any European country." ... because it does look a bit funny, like triple try-hard tokenisation. I hope that's not the racist criteria. Though worse, is their undemocratic selling us out, to their corrupt masters, club, clique, class, etc.
It would be nice to have democracy.)
(I am increasingly appreciative of the perspective that political parties are not a good thing.)

What challenging statements.

On the margins of propaganda battles, our enemies deliberately resort to shameless substitution of concepts. The West's seizure of "Ukraine" is called "liberation from the Russian dictatorship." And planting and supporting a bastard #neo-Nazi regime created by a comedy series actor is "supporting #democracy and freedom." Conversely, our efforts to preserve the common Russian space are described as Russian "intervention" and "occupation."

All normal people have long understood that this is a lie. Healthy political forces in the world are also gradually becoming aware of the true state of affairs.

According to the latest draft text of the controversial EU Child Sexual Abuse Regulation proposal leaked by the French news organization Contexte, which the EU member states discussed, the EU interior ministers want to exempt professional accounts of staff of intelligence agencies, police and military from the envisaged scanning of chats and messages (Article 1 (2a)). The regulation should also not apply to “confidential information” such as professional secrets (Article 1 (2b)). The EU governments reject the idea that the new EU Child Protection Centre should support them in the prevention of child sexual abuse and develop best practices for prevention initiatives (Article 43(8)).

“The fact that the EU interior ministers want to exempt police officers, soldiers, intelligence officers and even themselves from chat control scanning proves that they know exactly just how unreliable and dangerous the snooping algorithms are that they want to unleash on us citizens,” commented Pirate Party MEP Patrick Breyer.

Does the world has a 100 years cycle for fascism and stupidity taking over the nations?

Most countries turning into full fascist states and our democratic values being destroyed, one by one in every corner of the planet.

The nuclear powered nation of India turning fascist should be an alarm for everyone in the world. But sadly we are driven by for profit corporations rather than political leaders and India is one of the key nations in their plans to dominate the world economics. No matter how extreme right it turns.

#Ukraine Considers Banning #Telegram if App is Confirmed as “Threat to National Security”

The Ukrainian parliament has been studying a bill since last week that threatens to shut Telegram down.

The measure, which has proven very unpopular but has garnered the support of deputies from four political groups in the Rada – 72% of Ukrainians use Telegram as their main source of information, a study found last year.

Ukrainian citizens can currently consult Telegram without limits, as opposed to surfing the internet or following news outlets regulated by Kiev’s media law.

PS. #France has quietly pushed blocking of telegram channels, the same in #Sweden and #Germany. But the app itself is still not banned here.

Turkish local elections: Opposition stuns Erdogan with historic victory

Congratulations to all in the cities and country which has been taken back decades in terms of rights and freedoms under Erdogan.
I spent some time in Istanbul especially, back when women were celebrating newfound freedoms and all enjoyed freedoms of speech and blossoming "new" music and arts.
