Quick update for a low spoons day
Today has been rough already, and it’s early afternoon. I didn’t sleep well.

I received a bill today for my portion of the surgery on 30-April of this year. That was the very minor surgery to implant the loop recorder under the skin of my left breast.

Falling on the stairs
"A certain klutz (not naming names) fell on the stairs last night trying to carry the recycling down to the garage, and out to the outside bin."

So a certain klutz just fell on the stairs. From the way it feels, I'll have multiple bruises by morning, but okay otherwise. Ugh. I've just taken a couple of Extra Strength Tylenol. I can feel my back starting to tense too. Both feet, and right elbow, got banged pretty good.
I'm almost certainly in for a fibro flare too.

Heat Stress follow-up
"You may have seen my previous post about “Heat stress as a spoonie.” Apparently, the recent changes I demanded to the implantable loop recorder (ILR) that I received back on 30-April, have already had an impact."

Whining...
I woke up in pain at a little after 5 am. Took some Tylenol, and the pain is just beginning to ease a bit an hour later.
We've been without AC since Friday. Parts to repair that should arrive sometime today. The temp in my room reached 91 yesterday. It's miserable but bearable.
It could be worse. We have fans and electricity. My daughter only just got her power restored yesterday from Beryl. They lost a ton of food and have been miserably hot for days.

I'm exhausted and in a lot of pain. A trans girl died recently and a vigil was held for her tonight. My pain is both physical and psychic. I feel the pain of all those who grieve for Pauly Likens.

Rough morning today. Started okay, then suddenly started vomiting around 9:30. Headache later. Migraine? Unusual presentation for me if so. Now feeling very chilled, though that's honestly not really unusual. Outside temp is 78F (26C). Inside is 73F.
I ate some dry toast about an hour ago, and it stayed down. Drinking some hot tea to try to warn up my core temp. Sometimes I hate my body.

I'm off to see my PCP this afternoon for a hospital follow up appointment. Casual T-shirt in shades of purple, and hair in a pony tail is the order of the day.
[ID: Janet, wearing a v-neck T-shirt with horizontal stripes in various shades of purple. Her hair is a wavy silver ombre, tied back in a pony tail. She's wearing a dangle chain earring on the left, along with a barely visible diamond stud. On the right, she has a heart shaped stud in trans flag colors. Her necklace is a gold (almost) choker with a small diamond pendant.]

I just spent a little over 3 hours in an ER because of a prolonged #AFib episode. I tried to wait it out for a couple of hours before giving in and going. I don't think I'll wait that long next time. I'm exhausted and I think I've triggered another #fibromyalgia flare.

I'm planning on attending another nearby #pride2024 celebration tomorrow afternoon. It's about an hour's drive each way, and runs from noon until 10pm. I'm hopeful that I will have the requisite #spoons in order to go the day. Last time, the crowds didn't overwhelm me, which I was pleased by. I assume that had a lot to to do with being around my tribe.
So if you don't hear from me tomorrow, it's all good. It means I'm having fun. 😊

I had an episode this afternoon where for roughly an hour, my #HeartRate dropped to 30bpm. This is according to my smartwatch readout. You may remember that I have experienced some #bradycardia in the past year, and it's part of why I had a loop recorder implanted in my chest recently. Never before has such an episode lasted this long though.
I transmitted the readings from the recorder to the cardiac doctor's office. I also messaged the doctor via the portal to let them know I had sent that transmission.
It started with what I thought was me falling asleep at my WFH desk. I startled "awake", realized I was feeling exhausted, and went to lie down in my bed. I had limited awareness of what was going on until I started to come out of it at about 1:45pm.
I checked the health app (Samsung) curious as to how long I had slept in that "nap". That's when I noticed the heart rate recording showed that 30 bpm reading over a two hour window. Dug in a little deeper and discovered it was from about 12:27pm until 1:25pm. That's roughly when I started to regain awareness of my surroundings.
Fun times, eh?

I attended the local Pride celebration on Saturday, 1-June-2024. It was my first Pride since 2012, back in Houston.

I was up until 1am this morning, handling a customer data recovery issue. I slept until just past 8am (with about an hour total of intermittent wakefulness). I’m really short of spoons today. Just a shower and getting dressed took everything I had. So today will likely be a “do nothing” kind of day.
