Someone had thrown away this perfectly fine piece. What was missing was a few loose screws and some broken wood pieces holding them together. 5 minutes of work, and it is all good to go. Will add some glue to it to make sure it won't break again.

Used the power tools I had bought recently, some glue and some spare parts from my stash of things I have been collecting.

Just need some sanding and painting, putting the top on and will use it as stand for some plants for now.

Love repairing stuff people through away and use them for free.
Will postcthe final product when it's done.

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went to the birthday party of a retired colleague. There she saw a #model #bridge which could be assembled with wooden elements and nothing else. It got her enthused about making her own smaller version and so she went off to a local DIY store and bought a few lengths of timber and started tinkering. This is version 0.1 and is a proof of concept but it already comfortably holds 8 kg. The next steps will be to get all the pieces properly aligned and contacting each other at the correct angle. I'll make a #StructuralEngineer out of her yet.

My plants outgrew the starter pods in the window and instead of bookcases with plants, my other half suggested we go full bore. Took Sat/Sun to get materials, plan, and build. Strung the lights and re-potted plants last night. Still need to embed magnets into the removable sections around the cords/plugs.
