I broke my old laptop and bought a similar one that came with the surprising touchscreen.

Tried to sell the old one for repair, but the highest bid I got was 70 euros

Decided to sell it in pieces, sold the NVME SSD, External battery, internal battery and french Azerty keyboard separately and they are all gone, I have got 78 euros and still have the screen and couple of other pieces for sale. So I am guessing I will end up going even and got my memory upgraded to 32GB and dual front camera and touchscreen as bonus.

It's amazing how happy people are buying them at "low cost" compared to new specially the guy who bought the international battery andi helped him replace the old one for free (got a cup of coffee for the work), he even sent me a tank you note after he left for family vacation with the my 2 old batteries that last about 6h on his laptop (compared to less than 2 that he was getting before.

And for me, I no longer feel bad about breaking my old computer:) I really wish the guy who bought the keyboard had a QWERTY keyboard so we could exchange. But his keyboard was German which is harder for me to use than the Azerty one I have right now.

In order to cut back garbage generation, moving towards large packs of everything.

This is dry yeast. Used to buy them in 5g packs that were wrapped in 4 pack plastic , but now I'm using a 500g container instead. It's metal with plastic lid that fits most of my other containers after it's done.

One step at a time to move towards 0 waste!

Repairing Society. Xiaodong MA (Andy).

Recycling the World’s Batteries | Emma Nehrenheim | TED

Battery recycling pioneer Emma Nehrenheim. While batteries are fundamental topowering a sustainable future, their production is surprisingly harsh on the environment. She lays out the science behind a breakthrough in recycling a battery’s core elements, offering a manufacturing solution that could vastly reduce the industry’s environmental impact.

Couldn't find a small sofa whtin my budget and can't carry the second hand ones 6 floor up, so made one from wood pallets and cushions I found in the recycling bin of our apartment complex.

Just need to add a few more wood on the back, sand it, paint it and have it ready to be my thrown in the coming weeks and months!

Total cost 6 euros for long screws.!

Another day, Another experiment trying to see what gives me the best hydroponic results growing Tiny Tim Cherry Tomatoes!

Used the last 2 water bottles I had saves. Glued their 2 caps together and made a big hole through the 2.

Painted the full 5L bottle with black paint and covered it with aluminum foil, made a hole on the side and solved in a USB water pump (from the many many items I had bought to bring to Ghana many years ago) and cut the other bottle's too 30% and screwed the 2 together.

The water pump is right now connected to power plug, and slowly pushes water up to the top that is filled with mix of 10% perlites and 90% vermiculite, covered on the top with clay balls.

The plant is one of the last surviving tiny Tim tomatoes I had and wasn't growing well inside the IKEA växer system for some reason.

So I will be testing this, and other system compare the taste, number of tomatoes produced and maybe the cost of fertilizer.

I just need my ass to sit down and write the code for ESP32 system to control all of these using solar panel or else it will be wires all over the place.

Not it's time to relax and enjoy the last beer I brought back from Sweden!

It took a really long time, but they are finally starting to grow !

Cut top off because it was getting really tall and skinny, I was expecting it to start growing pretty quickly after removal but it took about 2 months for it to grow.

Now I will have to replace it from it's old 2L coca-cola bottle (from my last job) into a 5L one and maybe even sell them because I have too many right now.
