#nowruz
March 21st is the Iranian new year, and one of the traditional ceremonies from ancient times is "Chahar-Shanbe Souri" which is the ceremony on the last Tuesday evening of Persian calendar.
During the ceremony, people jump over small fire to welcome the spring and to capture the heat of the fire to cleanse the coldness of the past winter and throw small fire crackers or fireworks to welcome the new year.
People now have turned the ceremony into extreme and in this sad video, they created a home made 30kg fire cracker that explodes on impact.
The results (as expected) were catastrophic with material damages and many injured.

Eid Nowruz Mubarak
عید نوروز مبارک
First Day of Spring
Coinciding with the Spring Equinox, its name combines two Persian words: "now," which means new, and "ruz," which means day. It's a time of year in which followers celebrate the coming of spring and the renewal of nature.
