La société ne veut pas d’individus alertes, enthousiastes, révolutionnaires, parce que ces individus ne s’intégreront pas dans le modèle social établi et risquent de le briser. C’est pourquoi la société cherche à maintenir votre esprit dans son modèle et pourquoi votre soi-disant éducation vous encourage à imiter, à suivre et vous conformer.

La véritable éducation c'est d'apprendre comment penser et non quoi penser.

Range le livre, la description, la tradition, l'autorité, et prend la route pour découvrir toi-même.

L’ #éducation conventionnelle ne nous permet d’atteindre que très difficilement à une pensée indépendante.
La conformité mène à la médiocrité.
Etre différent du groupe ou résister au milieu n’est pas facile et est souvent dangereux dans la mesure ou nous rendons un culte au succès.
L’aspiration au succès, cette poursuite d’une récompense dans le monde matériel ou dans le monde soit disant spirituel, qui est une recherche de sécurité intérieure ou extérieure ; le désir d’un confort ou d’un réconfort, tout ce processus, étouffe le mécontentement, met fin à la spontanéité et engendre la peur.
Et la peur bloque la compréhension intelligente de la vie."

Can we, this evening, look at that factor? - the factor which the mind avoids, that sense of complete loneliness with which we are superficially familiar. What is it to be lonely? Can we discuss that now and keep to that issue, and not introduce any other problem?I think this is really very important. Because so long as that loneliness is not really understood, felt, penetrated, dissolved, - whatever word you may like to use, - so long as that sense of loneliness remains, dependence is inevitable, and one can never be free, one can never find out for oneself that which is true, that which is religion. While I depend, there must be authority, there must be imitation, there must be various forms of compulsion, regimentation, and discipline to a certain pattern. So, can my mind find out what it is to be lonely, and go beyond it? - so that the mind is set totally free and therefore does not depend on beliefs, on gods, on systems, on prayers, or on anything else.

The importance of #working #together

"We were saying, the importance of working together, the importance of #co-operation, because most of us live in a world that is completely broken, fragmented, a world in which there is constant struggle, one group against another group, one ideology against another, one nation against another, one class and so on. And technologically we are enormously in advance but there is more fragmentation than ever before. And as one observes factually what is going on, it is absolutely essential that man, that is, each one of us, learn how to co-operate. We cannot possibly work together about anything - it doesn't matter if it is about the new school, or the relationship with one another, or to end the monstrous wars that have been going on. If each individual, if each human being is isolating himself in an ideology, his life based on a principle, a discipline, a belief, a dogma, when there is such basis there cannot be co-operation. That seems to me so eminently obvious, there needs to be no discussion about it even. And we were saying, whether it is at all possible to break down all these values that one has deliberately built against others, whether it is at all possible for man to be free. That's what we were going to go into during these talks and discussions."
