From
Thailand aborts color revolution

By M.K. Bhadrakumar

The curtain has fallen on #Thailand's aborted color revolution, as the country's Constitutional Court on Wednesday ordered the dissolution of the anti-establishment opposition party Move Forward, widely regarded as a proxy for the United States.
The decision coincides with the resounding success of the hastily organized color revolution in #Bangladesh and the fall of the key military base of the #Myanmar Army Northeast Command in Lashio, Shan State, over the weekend to the army of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance, the armed rebel groups funded and trained by Western intelligence services.

"The impact of the military coup on education in Myanmar is devastating. Countless students, both boys and girls, have been forced into dire circumstances. They either join resistance militias to protect their communities or face the arduous journey to the cities in search of menial jobs"

Over 1,500 people died of #heatstroke in #Myanmar last month #climate #heatwave
"The death of my son happened very fast. I immediately called a car and took him to hospital. The doctor said my son has already died. He had no heartbeat and no blood pressure."
Nearly 2 million people were forced to flee their homes in Myanmar following the February 2021 coup, leaving hundreds of thousands homeless and especially vulnerable to environmental pressures. While detained leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s government drew up a climate action plan in 2018, since she was ousted, the country has been in a state of civil war, leaving little hope for state aid in mitigating the worsening climate disasters.

The people of #Myanmar have mobilized against the military coup through a campaign of civil disobedience, boycotts of military-owned companies, and pressure on foreign companies to stop supporting the Junta. Now, more than ever, let's pressure the Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT) until it stops bankrolling the Myanmar military.https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/demand-ptt-stop-bankrolling-the-myanmar-military
