Finished A Psalm for the Wild-Built last night
It was quite good…the use of they/them pronouns sort of overwhelmed me a bit, but the use was consistent and persistent and I almost got used to it by the end of this very short book.
It examines many issues, consciousness, cognition, environment and more but it left me with no answer to how it was the robots became sentient or how it was ‘passed’ to ‘new robots.’ Perhaps those will be answered in the second book of the series but I doubt it based on the story/plot/etc.
