MOI MOI YOYO
JE SUIS PAS UN SI GRAND CADEAU
MOI MOI YOYO
DANS MES YEUX CHUI PAS QU’UN, DÉSO
MOI MOI YOYO
JE NE SUIS QUE DES BAS DES HAUTS
ET MOI JE VEUX ÇA

QUE ÇA FASSE BLING BLING BLING
COMME UNE DIVA

CHUI À GOA
ET JE ME SENS BEAU

J’AI MÊME PAS PEUR
DE MON ÉGO
J’AI MES VRAIS CILS
ÇA FAIT SUBTIL
C’EST PAS NOUVEAU QUE JE VEUX ETRE UNE FILLE
A MES DOUZE ANS J’AI REGARDÉ CETTE PAIRE DE LOLOS
JE VOULAIS BIEN QUE CE SOIT LES MIENS CE SERAIT BIEN PLUS BEAU

MOI MOI YOYO
JE SUIS PAS UN SI GRAND CADEAU
MOI MOI YOYO
DANS MES YEUX CHUI PAS QU’UN, DÉSO
MOI MOI YOYO
JE NE SUIS QUE DES BAS DES HAUTS

ET MOI JE VEUX ÇA
QUE ÇA FASSE BLING BLING BLING
COMME UNE DIVA

COMME UNE DIVA

ÇA FAIT LONGTEMPS QUE JE DÉBALLE
TOUTES CES PHRASES OÙ JE SUIS MAL
LA VOIX FLUETTE, LES YEUX DE FOU
UNE GIROUETTE, CHUI À GENOUX

JE VOUS ENTENDS DANS VOS MESSAGES DIRE
OH QUEL REBELLE
MON PERE S’EST DIT

QUE JE N’AI PAS D’ÂGE
IL M’VEUT POUR SON NOEL
PAPA
JE TE VEUX POUR MON NOEL

MOI MOI YOYO
JE SUIS PAS UN SI GRAND CADEAU
MOI MOI YOYO
DANS MES YEUX CHUI PAS QU’UN, DÉSO
MOI MOI YOYO

"[Uncle Jack Charles] had a message for younger LGBTQI Indigenous people – to be true to themselves.

“But always watch your back, because we’re not in a gay world. We’re living on the fringe of society, like Indigenous people, we’re fringe dwellers. So us gay and Indigenous mob, we’re fringe dwellers twice over, and that’s what gives us great strength,” more here

Hmm, looks like both sides did not exactly shine here:
WorldPride Taiwan a missed opportunity for Kaohsiung

But it is indeed strange that the LGBTQI+ community would bow to a country that doesn't exactly like them...

Back on Nov. 14, celebrations for Kaohsiung being awarded the prestigious event were somewhat overshadowed by the official announcement from InterPride that the 2025 event would be held in the “region of Taiwan." Hmm, who was demanding such lingo...?

So, perhaps it was not a massive shock when it was announced last week that talks had broken down and the event would no longer be held in Kaohsiung or anywhere in Taiwan.

After that initial climb down, it seems that InterPride was once again maneuvering to have the name "Taiwan" taken off the event, this time to be replaced with the name Kaohsiung. There have also been claims that they were spreading unsubstantiated rumors about the Taiwan event organizer’s ability to finance the event.

The impression that this stance gives is of InterPride becoming the latest global organization to fall in line behind communist China when it comes to engaging with Taiwan. The timing of this development certainly does nothing to assuage that suspicion, and it is important to note that the initial application to host the event, which InterPride chose to accept, was made in the name of Taiwan.

If there is any truth to this, it should only serve to undermine InterPride's credibility with the global LGBTQI+ community. After all, Taiwan is the only country in Asia that permits equal marriage. In China, meanwhile, LGBTQI+ individuals routinely face state-sponsored discrimination and censorship at the hands of the authoritarian regime there.

And while people understand the reasons behind the decision to drop out, this is clearly a scenario in which there are no winners. That is a great shame for InterPride, for Kaohsiung, for Taiwan, and for the LGBTQI+ community around the world.

A #conspiracytheory about #sex and #gender is being peddled around the world by the #FarRight

Perreau, the MIT professor, suggests the best defense lies within the texts that conservatives are distorting. “#GenderIdeology” may not exist as framed by its creators, but there is plenty of serious theoretical work on gender. A better understanding of those ideas would inoculate people from believing their misrepresentation, and make them realize that when it comes to gender construction, religious institutions are seasoned authorities. What else, other than social constructs, are the ideas that woman came from the rib of a man or that only men can serve as priests? What of the notion that the Virgin Mary procreated without ever having sex? “It’s actually the church which believes in #creationism,” Perreau says.“They are the ones who believe that you can define yourself out of nothing.”

‘It felt like history itself’ – 48 protest photographs that changed the world

The Guardian

Protest can change everything. Which is why governments around the world want to suppress it. In a week when thousands in the US expressed their fury over Roe v Wade, we look back at some of the images that helped rewrite laws and change the way we think.

Governments tend to define democracy as narrowly as possible. The story they tell goes as follows: you vote; the majority party takes office; you leave it to govern on your behalf for the next four or five years. (...)

We have seen what happens if we leave politics to governments. Fairly elected or not, they will, without effective public pressure, abuse their power. (...)

Trust in governments destroys democracy, which survives only through constant challenge. It requires endless disruption of the cosy relationship between our representatives and powerful forces: the billionaire press, plutocrats, political donors, friends in high places. What challenge and disruption mean, above all, is protest. (...)

A government that cannot tolerate protest is a government that cannot tolerate democracy.

Such governments are becoming a global norm. In the UK, two policing bills in quick succession seek to shut down all effective forms of protest. (...)

In the US, state legislatures have been undermining the federal right to protest, empowering the police to use catch-all offences such as “trespass” or “disrupting the peace” to break up demonstrations and make arrests. (...) In Russia, a new law against “discrediting the armed forces” has been used to prosecute dissenters engaging in actions as mild as writing “no to war” in the snow. Similar draconian laws are being imposed by governments in many other nations.

Why do governments want to ban protest? Because it’s effective. Why do they want us to accept their narrow vision of democracy? Because it makes our power ineffective. (...)

The extraordinary people in these images understand this – from suffragettes picketing the White House in 1917 to Patsy Stevenson being manhandled by police at last year’s Sarah Everard vigil; from relatives of those killed at Amritsar in India in 1919 to those taking to the streets after George Floyd’s murder in the US.

Almost everything of importance is disintegrating fast: ecosystems, the health system, standards in public life, equality, human rights, terms of employment. (...) Business as usual is a threat to life on Earth. Disrupting it is the greatest civic duty of all. (...)

Books that I read in 2021 - number 25:

This is a novella by the German female writer Christine Wunnicke. The title is: Nagasaki, ca 1642. In a very unique and exciting way, the text intertwines colonial history with a love story between cultures and times. It touched me very much and I can definitely recommend it.
