A recent #UN #investigation has concluded that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza, which include #extermination, #collectivePunishment, and the use of #starvation as a method of #warfare.

Not to forget using aid truck as the mean of military operations which is clearly made as a crime in Geneva convention.

Question is, will it have any impact on the favorable relationship between US, UK and EU with Israel? Or it's going to be one another crimes comitted by Israel that goes unpunished.

The child Amjad Qanoa' (3 years old) suffers from severe malnutrition due to Israel's prevention of the entry of humanitarian aid into the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The World Food Program and the Food and Agriculture Organization had said that hunger is worsening because of heavy restrictions on humanitarian access and the collapse of the local food system in Gaza.

The UN World Food Program (WFP) has temporarily suspended operations from a pier in central Gaza after two of the aid group's warehouses in the enclave were struck, according to the agency's director.

"I'm concerned about the safety of our people after the incidents yesterday," stated Cindy McCain, WFP executive director, in an interview with CBS on Sunday.

"Two of our warehouses, the warehouse complex, were rocketed yesterday," she explained. "We've stepped back just for the moment [...] to ensure that we're on safe terms and on safe ground before we restart."

WTF story of the day: #DePaul #University in #Chicago has dismissed Professor Anne d’Aquino for assigning her students to explore the impact of "genocide in Gaza" on human health.

The University administration cited "objections from some students" who felt that introducing politics into a science class was inappropriate and considered the material "outside the scope" of the course.

D’Aquino has appealed her dismissal, contending that the assignment was relevant, especially considering concerns raised by scientists about the spread of infectious diseases in Gaza.

According to #Biden administration officials, there have been discussions about potentially negotiating a "unilateral deal" with Hamas to release five Israelis holding American citizenship detained in Gaza if current cease-fire talks involving Israel fail.

These negotiations would not involve Israel and would be conducted through Qatari interlocutors, similar to current talks.

The officials, all briefed on the discussions, did not know what the United States might offer Hamas in exchange for the release of the #Americans. However, they suggested that Hamas might be incentivized to pursue a unilateral deal with #Washington to strain U.S.-Israel relations further and exert additional domestic political pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu.

As the world watched on social media and responded in outrage, US corporate media, once again, provided cover for the perpetrators of Israel’s genocide.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Israel bombed starving Gazan refugees crowded in tents in Rafah, where Israel had told them to go. As Jeffrey St. Clair (CounterPunch, 5/31/24) wrote, leaflets dropped in Rafah a few days before told them to go to “Tel al-Sultan through Beach Road,” an area set up by the UNRWA refugee agency and designated a UN humanitarian safe zone. The leaflet added, “Don’t blame us after we warned you.”

Nevertheless, without warning, Israel hit the camp with at least eight missiles spreading fire though the encampment of plastic tents (Quds News, 5/26/24). Some refugees burned to death, mostly women and children, leaving them dismembered and charred.
