#UngrownIdeas - A series about #change and #Vision of the future

I just wanted to find a place to put these things. I feel like I should place it here. I have a few ideas that I need to write down and try to share it somehow even if nobody will even read it.
I have ideas about certain topics. I will try to do that in these series. However, these ideas are still ungrown. They still need to be fleshed and should be seen as drafts of ideas. Maybe you could even call them visions. Just how I would like to imagine the future will look like.

#Energy - Accessible energy

With rising energy needs, I think it would be better to get more people to get self-sufficient. Technology plays a big role. It should be like a servant, a tool that is there to make thing better for everyone. Basically a blessing for everyone. I think the best implementation of this idea is the solarpunk idea. It makes everything more reliant on nature, which has an effect on our daily consumption. When I was thinking about this idea, which consists of 4 parts

1. Every house should have an #TreeOfLife

There needs to be a change in how we build houses. Every house should standard be equipped with three sources of energy:
1. Wind.
2. Solar.
3. Water.

This can best be picture by a tree. The leaves of the tree are the panels to catch the sun rays, the branches to catch the wind and the water to catch from rain and to be used for energy and other uses. A rooftop should become the standard place where devices that catch the sun, catch the wind and catch the rain.

The scale of the life tree depends on the

Of course, there will be times when there is no rain, wind or sun. That's when we need nuclear energy to supplement during times when no resources is available. However, this is also the possibility of batteries of course.
The conventional idea of how a house should look like will also be changed. As there will be new features and ways to

2. With IOT devices the net should be avoided

The idea that we can push anything on and off, should be let go or at least as far as possible. We should rely on nature to provide most of our energy. This also means we should try to schedule our devices to switch on and off when possible.

With the help of IOT devices can communicate and schedule when the next wash can be done. It will get a weather forecast via the internet from a supplier, notifies the owner how much power is expected and schedules slots where devices can be switched on. On a windy day, the energy should be used instead of being sent to the net. By having devices communicate with each other to inform whether they can switch on or not, how much energy they can use, etc.

3. Energy should not be wasted

Having an electric car is nice and for some people quite essential. However, we should try to limit the use of the car as much as possible. This can only be achieved if the environment allows us to not use the car. Urban planning is critical, as it shapes how and what we will use. Trains or buses should be used as it can transport more people per energy unit and would be the preferred way of travel for long distances. Shorter distances should be done by walking, skating or cycling. Energy that you do not need to generate is energy you do not need and therefore not waste.

Conclusion

I know this vision is way too simplistic and there will be many challenges along the way. If we even get there at all with all the politics and crises that is going on. I just wanted to share how I see the world tackling the issues we are facing at the moment. This does inspire to create art about it, so I can totally understand the solarpunk art movement. Actually I am also inspired to create art from this.
