Is that another damn AI picture? How can you post it? You always warn about the dangers yourself, don't you?

Yes it is #AI generated and yes I warn of the dangers. Unfortunately, my posts without pictures are mostly ignored. I also have the feeling that most people don't really understand the extent of the threat. Pandora's box can no longer be closed. We can only try to deal with it #responsibly. I do think there's a difference between posting AI images and developing #Skynet.

I am working on a #FAQ on the subject of AI and hope to have enough time over Christmas to present the first parts of it to you. So please stay tuned and continue to be critical.

The most US-sceptical country was #Belgium, with only 43% of people considering the US their prominent #military partner, while #Poland had the highest pro-US rate (65%).

Now the legitimate #question arises as to whether European politicians are capable of an independent foreign policy at all, given that for decades they have only acted as willing vassals of the US? In the #EU, it is already difficult to reach compromises on domestic #policy. There is not even #agreement within the EU on whether #Russia is an #enemy.

#Humanity ushered in the end of mammalian dominance.

They do not use the planet's resources to sustainably expand their dominance, but only in the short term and only for their species and to allow their livestock to grow disproportionately.

In doing so, they destroy the necessary diversity and foundations of resilience that are able to cope with natural and self-induced changes.

They destroy both the basic biomass and the diversity on which it was based. All species are being decimated or have already been wiped out.

Instead, they use the resources for consumption, vanity, comfort and even worse for senseless wars.

We are leaving young people a completely destroyed, heated planet that will become a dance on a volcano for them.

Many seem to forget that electric cars, windmills generating energy (whether electric or mechanical energy) are just not new ideas.

The difference is that the technology at the time was limited by what was known then. Today, we can make things work much more efficiently. With the networking of ideas, we are also able to exponentially improve what we know.

So many inventions have come about from society’s need to solve challenges and problems. And yet so many ideas were violently resisted as well – remember when all cars had to be preceded by a person waving a flag, or where it was thought that steam locomotives would cause cows to stop producing milk, when we thought humans could not travel faster than they could run, when we were not made to fly, when we thought 5G cell towers were going to cause cancer, and so the list goes on and on.

Our biggest problem today is we are a society of buying everything – so things cost more, we lose our ability to fix and repair things, and then we panic that a new invention is going to take all the jobs away. In fact, new things (like just moving from horses to cars, or typewriters to computers) have created more new jobs after the transitions.

Society’s difficulty is more one of not being willing to change, and today even more so, with the misinformation that is so popular.

August 13, 2024. 5:30 PM. What a day, a fire in the building in the early morning hours, and then this....

Oh!! Wow!! A big thunderstorm has just blown in. Wind, rain thunder and lightning! I've run around and opened all the windows so fresh air will blow in. I also opened my front door for Cross Ventilation - to blow some of the fire smoke smell in the hallway....somewhere else.
From hurricane experiences in the Southern states, I instinctively turn off the lights and fans. The strong wind inside my home is causing papers to fly around in the air, and things are crashing to the floor. That's OK. Everything outside is getting a good wash and cooling off..and inside has been 'refreshed.'
It won't last long. I can already smell the strong fire smoke out in the hallway. I've closed the front door. The wind is just a slight breeze. There's no longer any 'Cross Ventilation'. Turning the fans back on. Turning lights back on. All that's left is an occasional sound of thunder. No lightning. No rain. The temperature has wonderfully..gone down.
This day isn't over yet.
