She was the first respected Black female manager at NASA, thus creating a long-lasting legacy for diversity in mathematics & science for West Area Computers. As one of the first female coders in the field who knew how to code FORTRAN, she was able to instruct other Black women on the coding language & paved a wave of female programmers to integrate their work into NASA’s systems.

Wir hatten da an Pickering's Harem, die Colossus Code Breaker und die ENIAC Girls gedacht.
Kennt ihr noch Gruppen?
Wäre schön, wenn wir wieder fünf Briefmarken schaffen würden.
Evtl. Nehmen wir auch noch Stephanie "Steve" Shirley mit ihrer IT-Firma FI dazu, aber das muss noch recherchiert werden.

Should we present groups women this time? We thought of Pickering's Harem, Colossus Code Breaker and ENIAC Girls so far. Maybe Stephanie "Steve" Shirley's FI company. (Though we haven't done much research on them yet.) I would be nice to have five new stamps like last time.
