Based on Harlan Ellison's 1969 Nebula Award winning story of the same name, the film is set in 2024 A.D. in the aftermath of a nuclear war that's ravaged the planet. Amongst the ruins, Vic (Don Johnson) scavenges for food and sex with help from his telepathic dog, Blood (voiced by Tim McIntire). Vic is lured into an underground dystopian community for a specific purpose.

"A man? Well, he'll walk right into Hell with both eyes open. But even the Devil can't fool a dog..."

The Twilight Zone episode 84, 'The Hunt' (January 26, 1962, CBS television).

One more great taste of Little Feat!

"Juliette" - Live, May 23, 1975 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, Georgia

I may have posted this somewhere in a thread but only know totally focused on it, watching, listening, & getting context....
I know I mentioned this in passing, one of the great songs of the more instrumental/jazz flavored versions, similar to how Jethro Tull had a "classic" bent as well as straight-ahead rock.

So this video was made in 2021 (but I sure missed it!) and it is the best take I've ever heard of this song live.
Incredible performance, blazing , and decent audio for way back when and now via YouTube. (Imagine a fatter bass). The guitars! 🔥
And the kicker: Watch the video! LOL....

Great video, great song, great performance here, by a great band.

As I look northward up NYS' Hudson Valley, with a wind tunnel 'direct to the Arctic' (it is said & felt on Manhattan's West Side).
This sprung to mind. "And so true"!

Cold Wind to Valhalla

It's been a while, and always a good time for Jethro Tull. Plus: "We're getting a bit short on heroes", and #ThrowbackTullDay

Quite nice, a live concert from way back when, on BBC, with the wonderful band #Focus
I saw them live at Paradiso in Amsterdam, and many 'here' (US) may have at least known of them from their hit song (with yodeling) "Hocus Pocus". This here is 23 minutes, and mostly "easy listening" though they can grow intense & layered. Nice background music &/or you can watch them perform.

#Skin | Josephine Baker (June 3, 1906, — April 12, 1975)

"Surely the day will come when color means nothing more than the skin tone, when religion is seen uniquely as a way to speak one's soul, when birth places have the weight of a throw of the dice and all men are born free, when understanding breeds love and brotherhood." ~ Josephine Baker, (brainyquote.com)

"During the German occupation of France, Baker worked with the Red Cross and the Résistance, and as a member of the Free French forces she entertained troops in Africa and the Middle East. She was later awarded the Croix de Guerre and the Legion of Honour with the rosette of the Résistance. After the war much of her energy was devoted to Les Milandes, her estate in southwestern France, from which she began in 1950 to adopt babies of all nationalities in the cause of what she defined as “an experiment in brotherhood” and her “rainbow tribe.” She adopted a total of 12 children."
