"Mahmoud Alsaqqa, who is #Oxfam’s food security and livelihood lead in Gaza, warned that some Palestinians are 'starving to death' from hunger in northern Gaza and more people will die in the coming days.

"Aid agencies say about 96 percent of Gaza’s population is facing high levels of food shortages. According to #UNICEF, nine out of 10 children lack the nutrition they need for growth and development. At least 37 children have died of #malnutrition or #dehydration in a year of war."

Earlier this month, the #Lancet published an article estimating that the total number of Palestinian #civilian #deaths caused directly and indirectly by Israeli attacks since October 2023 could be nearly five times higher than the official #death toll, and could reach “up to 186 000 or even more.”

It noted that “this would translate to 7.9% of the total population in the #Gaza Strip.”

According to the piece, the latest available count of Palestinians killed – 37,396 – is far too low, based on the fact that it is still unknown how many more lie under the rubble, how many are #missing but not accounted for among the #dead, and how many will perish due to #starvation, #dehydration, or #diseases.

“Even if the conflict ends immediately, there will continue to be many indirect deaths in the coming months and years from causes such as reproductive, communicable, and non-communicable #diseases,” it noted.

However, even this Lancet estimate of nearly 200,000 dead might be only half the actual number of Palestinians killed, according to some counts.

WHO: This seven-year-old with severe acute #malnutrition and #dehydration was transferred to a field hospital in southern Gaza in April amid the looming famine in the north.

These images should put any decent human being still supporting Israel into shame, but sadly, those people have no shame, no #humanity or #empathy.. neither does anyone world leaders who are letting these #atrocities to go on.

Death rate of elderly people in northern #Gaza Strip soars due to bombing, #starvation, #dehydration, and lack of healthcare

Occupied Palestinian Territory - With Israel still committing genocide against the Gaza Strip’s population for the fifth consecutive month, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor expressed grave concern over the high rate of deaths among the Strip’s elderly. The rights organisation cited the following causes in particular: bombing, starvation, dehydration, malnutrition, and lack of access to medical care.

In a statement issued Sunday, Euro-Med Monitor stated that its field team is recording nearly daily deaths among the elderly due to Israel’s systematic and pervasive crimes of starvation and treatment deprivation in the Gaza Strip, especially in Gaza City and the Strip’s northern regions.

Another starving Palestinian child with severe #malnutrition and #dehydration.

It's just hard to watch and share these images and videos, since most people don't seem to care at all.

And Americans are now so excited and happy that their beloved #GenocideJoe is dropping crumbs into the ocean of famished Palestinians, that they don't even want to hear or read about the misery of innocent children of #Gaza.

The child is at a hospital with no medicine or ability to help him.

He is only 6 years old.
