Well. I just sternly rebuked in the #MX-Linux forums for "banned content." All I did was try simply to explain why I was motivated to try GhostBSD (the explulsion of Russian maintainers, the weaponization of the Contributor's Code of Conduct). Thread locked, warning issued to include a threat of "further action" if I didn't edit the post.

I haven't even booted into MX-Linux since I installed #GhostBSD two weeks ago. Now I guess I'm done with the forums as well as the OS.
A friend asked me to post a screenshot or two as I'm fiddling and experimenting with #GhostBSD. In my opinion, an experienced Linux user would have a pretty easy time with this OS. Not so much for me, being a GUI boy who is frankly scared of the dreaded terminal. But the terminal is a secret weapon that offers ultimate control, and I'm finding that it's often simpler to use than the GUI stuff! Surprise!
After all the discussions here in the Fediverse about what's happening to #Linux these days, I thought I'd look again at "desktop BSD." I'm very glad I did! At the rate I'm learning and because of what I'm learning, this has already become my "daily driver," replacing #MX-Linux, which is still available to me iof I need to fall back on it, as a portable USB-stick OS.

Shut computer down and vacuumed the motherboard which was very dusty.
Rebooted to PCLinuxOS-debian. It ran very fast! But temp alarm kept going off saying 200F spikes. I need to install psensor on it.
Rebooted to MX-19 and it is running very very slowly. Psensor indicating 100F. Puzzling. May have clogged up the stock cpu cooler.
A #Linux-distro-a-day keeps the problems away and you don’t have to pay.

J'ai un trouble avec mon PC, avec MX-Linux:
Il stop son démarrage après le GRUB, sur un DVD Live il gèle sur l'écran, juste après "udev done" (j'ai essayé avec 4 ISO différents versions 21 et 23, DE; XFCE et KDE).
Sur le DD, il gèle à l'écran où on choisi soit de démarrer le système (par défaut) ou les autres options.
Pourtant il lui arrive 1 fois sur environ 25 de compléter tout le processus, sur le DD et une seule fois j'ai réussi à l'installer, via le DVD MX 21(qui fonctionne avec d'autres ordis): même résultats...

Je clic "tout ignorer" et elle se vide. J'ai fais un test avec BleahBit et effectivement, elle se vide...

hm... went back to mx linux but, chose MX-19.4.1_x64 KDE, “ahs”, 64 bit only... much better than manjaro... still playing me selves into da ding... lots of options to customize windows and desktop...

was busy re-installing both me mxlinux and win10 side aside...
only one command added to teh grub-menu had killed both sys, gave me 3 ssd and 1 hdd with their 6 partitions new letters and, nuthin worked no more... hm.
after mx freezing constantly I had found the command nouveau.modeset=0 modprobe.blacklist=nouveau to be added but, twas no good advice...
took its time to install win10 and then mx linux but, now teh linux froze on and off - got me really oopset !!! tried 3 times a new install but always teh same fuckery... freeze after a few minutes... hm.
went to distrowatch to find another distro... today ended oop wid manjaro 21. ornara but, will have to add some more features as it lacks a lot that mx had pre-installed...
dunno if me will stick to manjaro as right now am with Andrea and will be back home only Tuesday...
