#NewMoon in #Aquarius
GRAY #ASTROLOGY

..."The Aquarius New Moon on 9 February 2024 not only heralds the Year of the Wood Dragon, but also fittingly possesses a jolting burst of invigorating astrological aspects that will support courageous action, innovative reinvention, inspiring ideas, and moving at greater speed in pursuit of goals. While 2024 is the Year of the Wood Dragon in Chinese astrology, in tropical astrology the union of Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus in April will possess a similar quality of breakthroughs and exciting opportunities. The New Moon in Aquarius will jumpstart the inventive and liberating meaning of Jupiter and Uranus, as the Aquarius Moon will be moving in between Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus, the exaltation of the Moon. The Aquarius Moon will be separating from a stimulating square with Jupiter and applying to a galvanizing square aspect with Uranus, creating an electrifying atmosphere for the lunation that will require making space for the lightning strikes of Zeus and his grandfather Ouranos. Listen closely to your dreams and the omens of your daily journeys, opening with reception to the sudden messages that can spark important new ideas to develop or changes in direction that need to be considered.
Making the lunation even more potent is the presence of Pluto in Aquarius. The Aquarius New Moon is the first lunation to share the same sign as Pluto in Aquarius since 1798, and combined with Mercury in Aquarius having recently formed a conjunction with Pluto in Aquarius on 4 February, the Aquarius New Moon will initiate important new storylines and relationships that will be part of the long story arc of Pluto in Aquarius that will be playing out during the next twenty years. Pluto in Aquarius has consistently brought radical changes in leadership, power dynamics, and worldviews within global events, possessing a decentering force that has at times overturned longstanding conceptions of consensus reality. There have been numerous storylines in current events and technological invention foreshadowing some of the larger changes that will take shape, but we are obviously at too early of a stage to know where Pluto in Aquarius is clearly leading. For now take note of what you sense is beginning to change with a willingness for experimentation, leaning into the aspects that bring inspiring sources of new life, interest, and invention.
The major reason to focus on the forward momentum of exciting goals is that all of the planets are moving direct. Since Uranus stationed direct soon after the recent Full Moon in Leo, all of the planets will continue to maintain forward momentum until the beginning of April when Mercury will station retrograde. Fittingly, paying attention to the swift motion of Mercury during the darkness of the Aquarius New Moon will be key. Mercury is presently moving at its fastest speed having disappeared into its invisible solar phase en route to its superior conjunction with the Sun that will take place on 28 February. As the lunar cycle waxes into the Full Moon in Mercury's domicile of Virgo on 24 February, Mercury will thread a needle in between Jupiter and Uranus. Mercury will form a catalytic square aspect with Jupiter on 10 February followed by another square with Uranus on 16 February. The week of Mercury bridging Jupiter and Uranus will be a source of mental seeds that can eventually grow into towering works of imagination. "...

NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN | JANUARY 11TH, 2024 - IMBALANCES PUSH US TO CHOOSE, A NEW STORY BEGINS TO TAKE SHAPE, SET YOUR GOALS, MAKE YOUR PLANS FOR SOMETHING NEW BUT NOT TOTALLY NEW, STARTING FROM WHERE WE ARE NOW AS 'TIME RUNS OUT' GETS STIRRED UP ... AGAIN

..."This is our first #NewMoon in #Capricorn with #Saturn in $Pisces since 1996. This is our last New Moon in Capricorn with #Pluto in Capricorn in our lifetime. Saturn and Pisces are not naturally compatible. Saturn is all about structure and limits and discipline and achievement and remember Saturn has been in the sign of his ancient rulership (Aquarius) and the sign of his rulership (Capricorn) for several years before this. We had gotten accustomed to being STRONG and to HAVING to be strong. Saturn in Pisces answering to #Neptune is not so strong and the good news for us is we don't have to be either! As Saturn in Pisces dissolves limits and rules and structures we have grown used to - this may not be comfortable. Time melts. Reality is an illusion. Reality is malleable. We might be less ambitious. Maybe with Saturn in Pisces we are building things that are not quite so 'real', not quite so lasting, but also maybe not quite so rigid.

2024 will be a year when we start the process of stopping trying to apply old solutions to problems that can't be solved through our ENGAGEMENT with the struggle. Cappy New Moons are not about fast action (although the trine to Uranus will create a smooth portal for fast change if its needed) so much as it is about allowing ourselves to PATIENTLY grow into a new situation. With Pluto changing signs on the 20th, we all need to be prepared for things to move more quickly and in a new direction.
...

Saturn, the ruler of this lunation, is well-aspected through sextiles with Mars and Jupiter. Although his placement in Pisces and Mercury's square to Neptune in Pisces plus Pluto at the very end of Cappy AGAIN will likely speak of some Capricorn exhaustion here. That's OK. Being tired of the same old thing makes that trine with Uranus - the something new - even more appealing!

Venus and Jupiter are in mutual reception. The benefics having access to their home signs through each other is a good sign at this New Moon. "...

#NewMoon In #Sagittarius & #Mercury #Retrograde
#Astrology By Lauren

"On Tuesday, December 12th, we have a New Moon at 20º Sagittarius 40’. Optimistic and hopeful, the New Moon feels like an opportunity to look to the future with a sense of hope and possibility. Entering the halls of Sagittarius is like coming out of a cave, and opening up a door on to a vast untrodden vista. We can go anywhere and do almost anything through the adventurous doors of Sagittarius, where the next step is truly the first step of the rest of your life. Inspired by the vastness of our prospects, the is a sign of High Hopes and Big Dreams. But no sooner do we cast our dreams into space, and then Mercury stations, beginning its retrograde phase.

It may seem that Mercury is holding us back, keeping us from moving forward with our plans. But that is not actually true. In fact, Mercury’s retrograde phase may in fact be something of an advantage. And any delays or detours may also turn out to be fortuitous in the end.

Jupiter, the ruling planet of Sagittarius, is also in its retrograde phase, which comes to its conclusion on the last days of this year. But as Mercury stations on December 12/13th, it does so with a supportive trine aspect to Jupiter and a sextile to Venus in passionate Scorpio. We are moving into the retrograde phase of Mercury with high hopes, big dreams, and a heart that is growing 3 sizes too big. Know that you are not alone. There are others here with you. And we are all traveling on this journey together.

It may feel for many that they are going into retreat with the retrograde journey of Mercury. But we are not going into retreat to avoid our dreams and our hopes and our vision for the future. We go into retreat in order to have the objectivity and strength to enter 2024 with the resolve to make our Hopes and our Big Vision a closer and more achievable reality. And whereas Jupiter ends its retrograde phase at New Year’s Eve, Mercury ends its retrograde phase on January 1st. Which seems a hopeful way to start the New Year.

Note also that the New Moon is making a square aspect to Neptune. And for much of the retrograde phase of Mercury it will also be square Neptune. We are casting our dreams into space in the face of vast uncertainties. We simply do not know what the outcomes are going to be, or where we are going to land when the dust settles and the fog lifts. And so we are being asked to take that first step into the rest of our life with the faith that we are going to be precisely where we need to be in order to fulfill our dreams. And that is true even if it does not look like it is. "...

A little after #sunset and the #NewMoon at #dusk is approaching the #western #horizon, with #Earthshine illuminating the "dark" side. There's also #Venus there and, if you look very closely, you can also see #Saturn to the bottom right of the #planet. Add in a wisp of #cloud, an #aeroplane and its #contrail in the mid distance, #trees and a #house nearby and finish it off with a #sky turning from smoothly from deep #orange to a dark #blue and you end up with rather a nice collage. I used a #tripod to get a good #photograph here.

Three non-conspiracies in one #photograph during today's #sunset. There is a #WaxingCrescent #NewMoon, to which humans have been in my lifetime. The #contrail that a passing #aeroplane is illuminated by the setting #Sun and is made up of water droplets condenses out of hot exhaust #gases of the #JetEngines. Oh, and the #Earth is round, as is evidenced by the fact that the Sun sets at different bearings on the #horizon at different times of year and the angle at which it sets is dependent on the latitude at which you happen to live.
