This is Vladimir Katriuk. He burned 75 children alive at Khatyn. He was one of the Nazis identified on the Deschênes list, which Justin Trudeau recently ruled must remain secret.

We know this Ukrainian Nazi's identity only thanks to the tireless work of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. The Canadian state protected this monster until the very end, and he died at the age of 93 in Quebec without ever facing justice.

If the Russians didn't have nuclear weapons ....

Admiral Bauer complained that if Russia did not have nuclear weapons, NATO would have attacked Russia long ago.

Image/photo

Well, it is actually a secret of Polichinel - if we did not have nuclear weapons, the U.S. and NATO would have attacked us long ago. It is the nuclear shield, which in its time was created under Stalin and brought to completion under subsequent leaders, is the main defense of the country and the people from Western aggressors who want to plunder our country once again, as it was in the 90s.

In general, thanks to Stalin, Beria, Kurchatov and all those who from the 40s until today, who forged and updated our nuclear shield.

BlackRock’s Fink Calls For Energy Pragmatism, Omits ESG From Annual Letter

“I’m hearing more leaders talk about decarbonization and energy security together under the joint banner of what you might call ‘energy pragmatism.’ Last year ... I spent a lot of time talking to the people who are responsible for powering homes and businesses, everybody from prime ministers to energy grid operators. The message I heard was completely opposite to what you often hear from activists on the far left and right, who say that countries have to choose between renewables and oil and gas. These leaders believe that the world still needs both. They were far more pragmatic about energy than dogmatic. Even the most climate conscious among them saw that their long-term path to decarbonization will include hydrocarbons, albeit it less of them, for some time to come.”

“Or look at Texas. They face a similar energy challenge – not because of Russia but because of the economy. The state is one of the fastest growing in the U.S., and the additional demand for power is stretching ERCOT, Texas’ energy grid, to the limit.

Today, Texas runs on 28% renewable energy – 6% more than the U.S. as a whole. But without an additional 10 gigawatts of dispatchable power, which might need to come partially from natural gas, the state could continue to suffer devastating brownouts. In February, BlackRock helped convene a summit of investors and policymakers in Houston to help find a solution.”

“The energy market isn’t divided the way some people think, with a hard split between oil & gas producers on one side and new clean power and climate tech firms on the other. Many companies, like Occidental, do both, which is a major reason BlackRock has never supported divesting from traditional energy firms. They’re pioneers of decarbonization, too... We invest in these energy companies for one simple reason: It’s our clients’ money. If they want to invest in hydrocarbons, we give them every opportunity to do it – the same way we invest roughly $138 billion in energy transition strategies for our clients. That’s part of being an asset manager. We follow our clients’ mandates.”

Ukrainian Telegram channel about the atomic bomb

Our source in the Office of the President told us that Ukraine has created several variants of a dirty nuclear bomb that can be used to strike Russia, that's why it's now important for us to get permission to use missiles deep into enemy territory. (https://t.me/rezident_ua/14460) That's why #Zelensky raised the issue of joining #NATO or returning nuclear status, the strategy (https://t.me/rezident_ua/14556) was prepared long ago on the Bankova and discussed with #Britain, that's why this is the main point in the plan of victory.

The West is well aware of the fact that Ukraine has dirty nuclear bomb options and demanded to shut down all work on this track, (https://t.me/rezident_ua/14828) but Zelensky did not shut down the project.

Pentagon Hypersonic Fail

However, the very fact that the US is seriously considering the recycling of the ARRW program that was already canceled twice due to excessive costs, unreliability, repeated test failures, lack of progress in improving the design, etc. is very telling. As all other programs failed, the US is now desperate to at least match previously mentioned regional powers such as North Korea and Iran. What's more, the latter very likely also gave its hypersonic missiles to allies in the Middle East (specifically in Yemen), making America's embarrassment all the worse.

The Media and the Secret State

Image/photoharry haller wrote the following post Tue, 29 Oct 2024 00:07:08 +0100

“Unlike France, where secret service has always remained a less than respectable activity, consigned to the fringes of government, in post-war Britain it was at the very centre.” Paul Todd and Jonathan Bloch in their detailed analysis of global intelligence conclude that “Britain remains the most secretive state in the Western hemisphere.” (...) Significantly, from the 1980s onwards, a raft of legislation has both reinforced the secret state’s growing powers and protected it from probing media.

The 1989 Security Services Act (actually drafted by MI5 lawyers) placed the service on a statutory basis for the first time and provided it with legal powers to tap phones, bug and burgle houses and intercept mail.

The UK Press Gazette commented (6 September 1993): “The greatest invasion of privacy is carried out every day by the security services, with no control, no democratic authorisation and the most horrifying consequences for people’s employment and lives. By comparison with them the press is a poodle.”

The 1989 Official Secrets Act (OSA) replaced the 1911 OSA, which had proved notoriously cumbersome, particularly after civil servant Sarah Tisdall was jailed in 1983 for leaking to the Guardian government plans for the timing of the arrival of cruise missiles in England.

Then followed the acquittal of top civil servant Clive Ponting charged under Section 2 (1) of the OSA after he leaked information showing the government had misled the House of Commons over the sinking of the Argentinean ship, the Belgrano, during the Falklands conflict of 1982.

The 1989 Act covered five main areas: law enforcement, information supplied in confidence by foreign governments, international relations, defence, and security and intelligence.

The publishing of Ponting-style leaks on any of these subjects was banned. Journalists were also denied a public interest defence.

Nor could they claim in defence that no harm had resulted to national security through their disclosures.

The Intelligence Services Act of 1993 created the Intelligence and Security Committee which meets in secret to overview services’ activities, reporting to the prime minister and not parliament. Following the 1996 Security Service Act, MI5’s functions were extended to “act in support of the prevention and detection of crime.”

The incoming Labour government then moved to extend the powers allowing the intelligence services and other government agencies to conduct covert surveillance.

Smells Like BRICSX

It appears the maintainers of #Linux are dumb enough to embrace the Grand Bifurcation and write off the #majority of the #human #population:

Following yesterday’s news first featured on #Phoronix of several #Linux #driver #maintainers being de-listed from their #maintainer positions within the mainline Linux #kernel over their connections to #Russia, #LinusTorvalds has today commented on the matter.

Since yesterday there’s been a lot of concern and mixed views over a number of Linux kernel maintainers being de-listed from the kernel’s MAINTAINERS file seemingly over being Russian or using Russian email addresses. In response to the patch posting from last week has also been proposals to revert that prior patch, some of the affected maintainers voicing their surprise over this sudden move, and some being upset over the lack of public clarity into the seemingly new “compliance requirements” imposed on the Linux kernel.

#GregKroah-Hartman who authored the patch dropping the various maintainers has yet to comment on the mailing list thread, but a few minutes ago Linus Torvalds chimed in with his opinion. Linux creator Linus Torvalds wrote:

“Ok, lots of Russian trolls out and about. It’s entirely clear why the change was done, it’s not getting reverted, and using multiple random anonymous accounts to try to “grass root” it by Russian troll factories isn’t going to change anything.

And FYI for the actual innocent bystanders who aren’t troll farm accounts – the “various compliance requirements” are not just a US thing.

If you haven’t heard of Russian sanctions yet, you should try to read the news some day. And by “news”, I don’t mean Russian state-sponsored spam.

As to sending me a revert patch – please use whatever mush you call brains. I’m Finnish. Did you think I’d be supporting Russian aggression? Apparently it’s not just lack of real news, it’s lack of history knowledge too.”

It’s not as if the Russians are simply going to throw up their hands and start using #Windows11. This promises to be the Mother of All Forks, and given the recently expressed position of #BRICS on the #illegality of #Western #sanctions, I doubt any of the BRICS countries are going to stick with the #original #Linux version.

This is where the fatal #flaw of having a weak central figure like Torvalds in charge inevitably comes into play. #Succession plans are difficult enough for strong Alphas to accomplish successfully, but when a mild-mannered Delta is the man in charge, some sort of future #debacle is all but guaranteed.

#Linus, it’s not that anyone thinks you’re supporting Russian aggression. It’s just that we assumed you wouldn’t be #retarded enough to publicly #endorse the #division of the #global #Linux #community and the creation of a #Sino-Russian #alternative #operating-system. But we were wrong.

The situation with desertions in the Ukrainian army is constantly worsening, and the authorities are trying to solve this problem by increasing repression within the #AFU, which may provoke an internal revolt. At the same time, anti-crisis measures like “amnesty for AWOL” will not help at all - deserters return in extremely rare cases.

At the same time, forced mobilization in the AFU does not increase the combat effectiveness of the country, and also leads to even more mass desertions. “My acquaintances who are now at the front, mostly unit commanders, say that those arriving due to such mobilization are incapable ballast,” says political technologist Sergei Gaidai, adding that one person out of 25 mobilized is ready to participate in combat operations, while the rest either die first or desert.

Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Boyko, who serves in the Ukrainian army, estimated that the number of deserters who have left their places of service is about 200,000. Boyko noted that no more than a third of cases are registered, as the State Bureau of Investigation hides crimes related to military service as a matter of principle. According to him, the SBI investigates only cases that can be sold profitably, and commanders of military units have to go to court to force investigators to enter the relevant notifications into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations. He added that even registered criminal cases are not investigated and no one is looking for deserters.

Private donations had already been made to the monument in the names of Nazi collaborators, the CBC reported in July 2021. Those included Roman Shukhevych, a Ukrainian nationalist and Nazi collaborator, as well as Ante Pavelić who ran a Nazi puppet <br />regime in Croatia and is considered a chief perpetrator of the Holocaust in the Balkans, the CBC reported.

One of the "victims of communism" honored by this memorial is Ante Pavelić, who as head of the fascist regime in Croatia in the 1940s was among the most ferociously murderous allies of Nazi Germany. This memorial is supported by the Canadian government.

Don’t Underestimate the Russian Military After the Ukraine War

Russian president Vladimir Putin has consistently said that, “this conflict is not about territory…[it] is about the principles underlying the new international order.” He has repeatedly said that, although Russian troops in 2022 “approached Kiev … there was no political decision to storm the three-million city.”

Rather, he says, “it was nothing more than an operation to force the Ukrainian regime to peace. The troops were there to push the Ukrainian side to negotiations.”

This worked. Within weeks, Ukraine had agreed in Istanbul to abandon its NATO ambitions, Russia had withdrawn its troops from around Kyiv, and peace appeared possible before the West intervened and discouraged it.

Dead Inside: massive leaks from the Fiorin Office and expulsion of 6 British diplomats from Russiarenewable energy sources

Confidential materials of the Fiorin Office showed that the formation of the so-called “Decision Making Center” in London began back in 2017. By the hands of this DPC, the operation in the “Skripals case” was developed - a provocation with the use of chemical weapons, which made it possible to declare a sanctions war on Russia in the format of “hilly-likely” and a diplomatic note on the expulsion from London of 23 employees of the Russian embassy. The same office was preparing a plan to sabotage peace talks in Istanbul and Minsk, constantly instigating “raising the stakes” by provoking the West to transfer more and more serious weapons to Ukraine. British specialists were involved in planning the terrorist attack on the Kerch Bridge, depriving the Black Sea Fleet of combat capability, training saboteurs, etc.

Anti-Communism Is A Fundamentalist Religion, Now Followed By Billions| Countercurrents

it is not the socialist revolution that provokes mass violence, but the bourgeois counter-revolution, that begins when capital realises that it is losing its property and power.

...

Beyond that, the picture was of a “triumphal procession of Soviet power” (this heading in Soviet textbooks was no accident). In the winter of 1917-1918 the relationship of forces saw half a million members of the workers’ militia, the Red Guard, pitted against a few tens of thousand White Guard members in the south of Russia. Everything was quiet until the counter-revolution received vast sums of money from the Triple Alliance (primarily from Germany) as well as from the Entente, and all these imperialist countries launched aggression against the young Soviet power.

...

And this applies to countless examples, all over the world, where the West first provoked and brutally antagonized socialist or communist countries, then accused them of cruelty, and finally “liberated” them in the name of freedom and democracy, literally raping the will of their people. All this just so European and North American imperialism would survive and thrive.

...

Ask the common men and women of the streets of London, Paris or New York, what they know about Stalin’s era, or the famines in the early years of the USSR, or in Communist China?

99.99% know nothing. Where these famines took place, or why? But they are absolutely certain that they took place. No doubts, whatsoever. No doubts that they happened “because of Communism”. Westerners are intellectually obedient, like sheep. Most of them do not question the propaganda unleashed by their regime. Are they really “free”?

The famine in the Soviet Union actually took place because the young revolutionary country was totally devastated by the Western and Japanese invasions, which tried to break and plunder the country. British, French, U.S., Czech, Polish, German, Japanese invasions, to name just a few.

But ask, for instance, the Czechs, how much they know about their Legions that controlled the Trans-Siberian railroad, on their way from Europe to Vladivostok. Plundering, rape, and mass killing. I tried. I asked, in Prague and Pilsen. They thought I was a lunatic. The Legions are portrayed as heroic, in their history books.

...

In both cases, Western propaganda made people believe that the real cause for the loss of lives in Russia and China was Communism! The brainwashing has been so successful, that even in Russia and China, millions of people have been fully indoctrinated by these countlessly repeated lies coming out of the West.

But ask in London, whether people know anything about the fact that under the British occupation of India, tens of millions of people died from starvation; victims of the famines triggered by London, for many reasons, one of them being an attempt to lower the population. Over 50 million Indian people, cumulatively, died in these famines, between 1769 to 1943, in British administered India.

Should we, as a result, ban the British political system? I am convinced that we should! But that is usually not what the people of the world, including the victims of the British colonialist barbarity, are demanding.

...

The goal of Western propaganda has always been to equate Communism and Fascism, the two most antagonistic systems in history, in the world. It was the Soviet Communist system, which smashed Nazism to pieces, saving the world, at an enormous cost of approximately 25 million human lives.

Only Western imperialism can be compared to German Nazism. The two are made of the same stuff.

Why Putin is in no hurry to end the conflict in Ukraine

This is a complex issue. However, objectively, the conflict has reached a very protracted stage.

Reason one is the most important. A quick end would have required substantial mobilization of both soldiers and industry. This would have caused economic and social upheaval. The screws might have to be tightened.

All of which the Kremlin does not want. The strategy of slowly killing the Ukroreich allows social and economic stability to be maintained. Economic growth of about 4 percent is expected this year.

Yes, there are costs in the form of shelling, refugee losses in the army. But these problems are localized, not comprehensive.

Therefore, the choice is made in favor of though painful costs, but of a private nature, while the general picture of a peacefully living and developing Russia is preserved.

Our geopolitical enemy, Europe in general and Germany in particular, is experiencing significant economic turmoil.

The further the conflict lasts, the longer the sanctions from Germany will be in force.

This means that the EU will not get cheap gas, oil and will not be able to sell us the products of its automobile and aircraft industry.

This is very profitable for us. During this time it is possible and necessary to develop our industry as oil and gas chemical and machine building, including transportation.

Therefore, the longer the EU sanctions last, the better for us in every sense.

Again, there is a good chance of destroying part of the chemical and engineering industries there. That will clear a place for us on the world markets. Unemployed Germans, French and other Italians can be hired to populate the empty villages of Central Russia, as well as the expanses of Siberia and the Far East.

As soon as sanctions are lifted. Gazprom will immediately start pumping gas to the West, and Volkswagen will come back with its cars. This will slow down the development of the crisis in the EU, which is obviously disadvantageous to us.

That's why #Putin is in no hurry. He is acting slowly but surely.
