#Winter days are short and often dull and #grey and devoid of #colour. However, you can chance upon a bit of chromatic brilliance even if momentarily. Here was a patch of #sky in the #gloaming which added a bit of an #orange and #pink illumination to the end of the day and the beginning of one of the longest nights of the year.

From the vantage point of my house, I can see a couple of #TelecommunicationTowers on the #horizon, meaning they are many kilometres away. Here, I've made use of my #TelephotoLens to get quite a good detailed #photograph of the taller #tower in the #evening #twilight.

I have several remarks on this:
1) Book burnings are #Nazi methods.
2) The story in Twilight is ultra-conservative. There is not even sex before marriage.
3) It would be better to ban guns than books in the U.S.
4) Young people hardly read books anymore, and they watch far worse movies on streaming services.

A couple of nights ago, I mentioned that I spotted #Venus looking out #westwards. Well here's final incontrovertible proof that the #planet exists!
The first image is taken with an #exposure #time of 1 s and hence things look very bright even thought it was taken at #twilight.
A couple of minutes later, it was both getting darker and I used an exposure time of 1/4 s.
