ECOWAS Chairman and President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ECOWAS President Omar Alieu Touray directed the Committee of the Chief of Defence Staff to activate the All units of ECOWAS Standby Force.

The goal of such order is with all its elements to restore Constitutional Order and restore democracy in the Republic of Niger

Meanwhile it, the MIlitary of Niger warned that if a Military intervention happens, deposed President Bazoum will be executed.

There are roomers that both Zelensky and Putin have agreed to talk about a cease fire and possibly a deal! Brokered by South Africa and members of the African Union, both countries have "show interest in moving forward with the talks".

I am not sure if it will lead to any actual end of this bloody war, but at least they have agreed to listen to a negotiator.

The different sources say different things about the position of the US and UK and most say France is also supportive of the deal!

Following apparent pressure from #Algeria and #SouthAfrica, #Israel's representative was ousted from the auditorium at the #AfricanUnion summit in Addis Ababa, after Israel's observer status in the organization was reinstated.

A video shared online showed Sharon Bar-Li, the deputy director of the African Division at the Israeli foreign ministry, being escorted out at the opening ceremony of the two-day convention.

An AU official told AFP the individual who was "asked to leave" was not invited to attend the meeting, with a non-transferable invitation only issued to Aleli Admasu, Israel's ambassador to the African Union.

Israeli newspaper Haaretz, citing unnamed diplomatic officials, said Bar-Li had the proper authorisation to attend the summit and that discussions are being held to allow her to return.
