It’s State Propaganda’: Ukrainians Shun TV News as War Drags on
A government-approved news program intended to counter Russian disinformation and boost morale is coming under criticism for painting a rosy picture of the war. (NYT)
Since the early days of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, the people of #Ukraine have had access to a single source of television news — an all-day broadcast packed with footage of Ukrainian tanks blasting Russian positions, medics operating near the frontline and political leaders rallying support abroad.
The show, Telemarathon United News, has been a major tool of Ukraine’s information war, praised by the government officials who regularly appear on it for its role in countering Russian disinformation and maintaining morale.
But after nearly two years of war, Ukrainians have grown weary of Telemarathon. What was once seen as a crucial tool for holding the country together is now increasingly derided as little more than a mouthpiece for the government.
Viewers have complained that the program often paints too rosy a picture of the war, hiding worrying developments on the frontline and the West’s eroding support for Ukraine — and ultimately failing to prepare citizens for a long war.
“Everyone is fed up with this picture that says, ‘We’re winning, everyone likes us and gives us money,’” said Oksana Romaniuk, the head of the Kyiv-based Institute of Mass Information, a media monitoring organization. “It’s state propaganda.”
By the end of 2022, viewership of the news program had shrunk to 14 percent of the television audience, Ms. Ostapa said. Today, it is down to 10 percent.
Ihor Kulias, a media expert monitoring Telemarathon for Detector Media, said that, for most of 2023, the show’s participants used language that emphasized “the effectiveness and skill of the Ukrainian forces,” while Russian forces were “described as being in a state of panic, experiencing significant losses and surrendering en masse.”
It was “a completely different reality” from the actual situation on the ground, Mr. Kulias said.

No photoshop, this has been an actual lecture on our campus. My money would be on someone from finance, they have such slogans (Big data blah blah blah...) on the walls in their building.
If I had time then, I would love to hijack such a lecture and ask for specific examples where for example "blockchain" has improved a product. Our college for example had collaborated with someone on a "robot" with "AI" once, that should have been used for touristic explanations in a temple. The "robot" could only move arms and head as a kind of gestures and the "AI" part was probably the tablet attached to the "robot". Did I mention that we are a technical university? Maybe I shouldn't...

Apparently this is the unofficial fan website of a band and Google even suggested several of their articles. I seriously hope that the band is not in any way connected to whoever is writing on that website, because whoever that is, they have no clue what they are talking about. Let's have a look:

A keyboard can damage a guitar amplifier if the keyboard is plugged into the amplifier’s input and the volume is turned up too high.
Boy, good keyboards have line output. This is higher than the mic level output of passive guitars, but can easily be handled by an amplifier. Also: If plugging a keyboard into an amp's input is so bad, are you suggesting to plug it into the amp's output?
This can cause the amplifier to overheat and possibly catch fire.
Only if that amp is absolute garbage. Before anything could possibly "overheat" (which would be a design flaw), you will get so terrible distortions from overdriving your amp that you will turn off the amp and/or hit the keyboarder first.
Any guitar amplifier with a large range would be unable to produce much bass.
Any guitar amp with a large range going low enough will be able to produce bass. I'm using an el-cheapo guitar amp for bass practice.
If you do pump too much bass through it, there is a chance you will blow something.

Ahem, the term "bass amplifier" suggests that it is made for a...bass. It may lack in higher frequencies, but should have no problem with the lower and - unless it is garbage.
