I can't believe I bought this gorgeous, almost brand new table for my daughter for 13 euros.
Carrying it on the bus wasn't that easy. But it worked

Scrapping furniture safety regulations will cost dozens of lives a year, warns fire union
Under the current rules – introduced as the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 – manufacturers must submit furniture to independent testing on flammability. The regulations are estimated to have saved between 50 and 70 lives per year.
But now the Westminster government has proposed scrapping these rules in favour of a voluntary regime. Consultation on the plans closed earlier this year and ministers are now considering proposals.
The union warned that the government was using the pretext of dealing with lithium batteries and other hazards to launch a dangerous programme of deregulation.

Couldn't find a small sofa whtin my budget and can't carry the second hand ones 6 floor up, so made one from wood pallets and cushions I found in the recycling bin of our apartment complex.
Just need to add a few more wood on the back, sand it, paint it and have it ready to be my thrown in the coming weeks and months!
Total cost 6 euros for long screws.!

I think I found an alternative to have a comfortable chair in my apartment!
Don't have money to buy new furniture, and can't buy used one because I can't carry them up 6 floor by myself.
But this might be the solution for me. 2 of these and I have a nice place to sit and relax.
I'm sure I can find enough #palettes for 2 chairs.

How #SiliconValley helps spread the same sterile aesthetic across the world
source: https://www.theverge.com/2016/8/3/12325104/airbnb-aesthetic-global-minimalism-startup-gentrification
We could call this strange #geography created by #technology "AirSpace." It’s the realm of coffee shops, bars, #startup offices, and co-live / #work spaces that share the same hallmarks everywhere you go: a profusion of #symbols of comfort and quality, at least to a certain connoisseurial #mindset. Minimalist #furniture. Craft beer and avocado toast. Reclaimed wood. Industrial lighting. Cortados. Fast #internet.
...
This confluence of #style is being accelerated by companies that foster a sense of placelessness, using technology to break down geography. #Airbnb is a prominent example. Even as it markets unique places as consumable goods, it helps its users travel without actually having to change their environment, or leave the warm embrace of AirSpace.
