Psalm (Song) 13

  1. For the conductor, a song of Dâwíth. Until when Yâ-hwéh will You ignore me, forever? Until when will You conceal Your Face from me?
  2. Until when shall I make plans by myself, grief is in my heart daily; until when is my enemy exalted over me?
  3. Look! Respond to me, Yâ-hwéh my Power, illuminate my eyes lest I sleep the death,
  4. lest my enemy should say, "I prevailed over him!" My oppressors, they would rejoice as I am overthrown,
  5. but I have trusted in Your kindness, my heart would exult in Your salvation! I would sing for Yâ-hwéh because He has dealt generously with me.

Psalm (Song) 12

Concerning those renaming our Sovereign
1 For my Yisrâ’ë ́l, not pertaining to the ones, the end/termination by Yisrâ’ë ́l of the eighth, a song not of the ones [of] Dâwíth, doing good. Save me, Yâ-hwéh, because of this, He has been left out/omitted, the Pure One, because of this they become few, the ones [being] the true ones! "Separated away of you, Yisrâ’ë ́l [is] not sâțâ ́n of the sons of the dirt-man (’âthâ ́m)"
2 Headlessnesses speaks each one towards all Yisrâ’ë ́l, of the one not nearby of the same One of the Son, the deceitful speech among the ones of Yisrâ’ë ́l [is] pertaining to the heart [~Yâhuwthâ ́h = the "Profession of Yâ-hwéh" (1 Moshéh 49: 8)] of Yisrâ’ë ́l, even unto the ones of Yisrâ’ë ́l with the heart (f.) they spoke [it];
3 Yâ-hwéh [is] to cut off everyone that [is] not with the one (f.) [~the heart, the Profession of Yâ-hwéh (v.2)], the deceitful speeches pertaining to the one (f.) of Yisrâ’ë ́l, and the grandiose language
4 not belonging to the One, saying concerning it, "Of the one (f.) [~Yâhuwthâ ́h = the "Profession of Yâ-hwéh" (1 Moshéh 49: 8)] [is] not our language, we shall magnify with the one (f.) [~the heart, the Profession of Yâ-hwéh (v. 2)] not [being] our speeches; from beside our Yisrâ’ë ́l He is, Who, of us is Yâ-hwéh?"
5 "Separated apart of you, Yisrâ’ë ́l [is] not the one of the mettle-testing: sâțâ ́n [~his goats] [is] not of the destituted of Yisrâ’ë ́l! And separated apart of you, Yisrâ’ë ́l, [are] not the ones of the groaning, sâțâ ́n [~his goats] [is] not of the ones toiling for subsistence, at this time I shall resurrect,"dictates Yâ-hwéh, "I shall establish [it] among the ones of Yisrâ’ë ́l pertaining to the salvation, I will boldly speak openly among the ones of Yisrâ’ë ́l belonging to the same One, pertaining to the Son." [2 Qorinthíym 2: 17]
6 Not pertaining to the One, the Words [~His chosen] of Yâ-hwéh [are] pure, the silver [being] the one having been purified by fire, the hostile proving [being] the one not belonging to the Land, the one [~silver] having been purged seven times! [~refined by recycling 7 days] [Proverbs 10: 20, 24: 26]
7 You, Oh Yâ-hwéh, You shall guard/protect us of Yisrâ’ë ́l, and You shall carefully take care of us. "Separated apart of you, Yisrâ’ë ́l, [is] not the one of this stock/spawn [~the goats], and, of Yisrâ’ë ́l [are] among My Yisrâ’ë ́l, of the one not [being] the eternal One,
8 pertaining to the one circling the ones not irreverent, they walk around according to the vessel of Yisrâ’ë ́l, not belonging to the ones, [being] the height the ones [are] working." You treated with much care, not pertaining to the One, the sons with regard, not [of] sâțâ ́n, of the dirt-men (’âthâ ́m).

Psalm (Song) 11

The wicked used to prove the righteous
For the conductor. Of Dâwíth.
In Yâ-hwéh I take refuge. How can You say to my self (néphesh), "Flutter about your [pl.] mountain, O sparrow,
2 because here are the criminals, who are treading to bend the bow, they are setting their arrow against the string to shoot from the darkness at the upright in heart!"?
3 As the foundations are being torn down, what can a righteous one do?
4 Yâ-hwéh is in the Capacitor19 of Your Pureness, Yâ-hwéh, in the heavens is His throne, His eyes are they which gaze, His eyelids are they which scrutinize the sons of the dirt-man (’âthâ ́m).
5 Yâ-hwéh, the righteous He tests to prove, but His Self hates the criminal and the lover of unjust violence.
6 He will rain traps of fire and brimstone upon the criminals, and a spirit of raging heat is the portion of their cup;
7 because Yâ-hwéh is righteous, He loves the justified ones; the upright, they shall gaze at His Face.

1 Qorinthíym 6 (1 Corinthians 6)

The pure ones may judge cases
1 Does anyone of you who has a matter against the other, dare to go to trial before the unrighteous and not before the pure ones?
2 Do ye not understand that the pure ones shall judge the world? And if ye judge the world, are ye unworthy of making the smallest judgments?
3 Do ye not understand that we shall judge envoys? Then much more so, things relating to the present existence!
4 Then when ye do have a tribunal of things relating to the present existence, ye set up those ones who are least esteemed within the convocation to judge!
5 I speak to you in this way for shame. Isn't there even one wise man among you, who shall be able to make settlements between his brothers?
6 Instead, a brother goes to law against his brother, and this before unbelievers!
7 Therefore indeed there already is altogether a failure among you, because ye have lawsuits among yourselves! Why not rather suffer injustice? Why not rather be defrauded?
8 Instead, ye do injustice and defraud, and these things of brothers!
9 Or don't ye understand that unjust ones shall not inherit the Kingdom of Yâ-hwéh? Do not be misled: neither male whores, nor image-worshippers, nor adulterers, nor effeminate men, nor males who lie with males as if with women,
10 nor thieves, nor avaricious ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers shall inherit the Kingdom of Yâ-hwéh!
11 Though some of you were these things; nevertheless ye were washed, nevertheless ye were purified, nevertheless ye were justified within the name of Yâ-hwéh Yâhuwshúa, the Deliverer, and by the spirit of our Power.

Avoiding the errors done against the body
12. All substances are lawful to me, nevertheless not all things are advantageous; all substances are lawful to me, nevertheless I will not be brought under the control of any.
13 The meats are for the gut, and the gut is for meats, yet Yâ-hwéh will render both this and these entirely idle. But the body is not for fornication, instead for Yâ-hwéh, and Yâ-hwéh is for the body,
14 just as the Power [of Yâ-hwéh] also raised up our Sovereign, and He will resuscitate us through His Force!
15 Don't ye discern that your bodies are members of the Anointed One? Then having taken the members of the Anointed One, shall I make these members of a whore? May it not be!
16 Or don't ye understand that he who is joined to the whore is one body? "...For they shall be" He says: "for one flesh."
17 And he who is joined to Yâ-hwéh is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication! Every error that a man might perform is outside of the body, but he who indulges in fornication errors against His own body.
19 Or don't ye understand that your body is a temple building of the spirit of the Pure One within you, which ye hold from Yâ-hwéh, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye were bought with a price! Honor indeed Yâ-hwéh within your body and within your spirit, which are Yâ-hwéh's!

Psalm (Song) 10

Against tyrants
1 For what reason, Yâ-hwéh, do You stand in the distance, You hide for periods during the oppression?
2 By the pride of the criminal, he hotly prosecutes the needy who are captured in sting-ops(17) which they devised,
3 because the criminal foolishly boasts concerning the cravings of his appetite, then he blesses the unjust confiscator,
4 The criminal scorns Yâ-hwéh because of the haughtiness of his disgust; he is not seeking Him, there exists no mighty ones in any of his plans,
5 his ways are devious during all the time Your judgments are elevated from being with him, he snorts at all of his oppressors;
6 he has said in his heart, "I shall not be moved for generation after generation, happily blessed not in sadness!"
7 Of a curse (’Âlâ ́h) his mouth is full, and treacherous deceit and a threat [Romans 3: 14], beneath his language is trouble and wickedness,
8 he sits in the hunter's blinds of the courts with the wealthy, in the places hidden for the perpetration of a crime he murders the innocent, his vision sources(18) [MattithYâ ́huw 6: 22-23, To the ’Epheçíym 1: 18] are reserved for the hapless.
9 He prepares a ambush in the places hidden for the perpetration of a crime, like a lion in his thicket he lies in wait to catch the impoverished [Tâ’ówm 3,29], he seizes the impoverished when he draws (10.) in his sting-op net trap:
10 the hapless gets overwhelmed, and the impoverished one is thrust down, brought into subjection (by his strength in numbers),
11 he has said in his heart, "The Power has forgotten, He has concealed His Face, He sees nothing for perpetuity".
12 Get up, Yâ-hwéh, O Power, lift high Your hand! Do not ignore the impoverished.
13 Concerning what has the criminal one spurned the Power? he has said in his heart, "You will not hold anyone responsible."
14 You have seen it because You pay attention to trouble and vexation to take it into Your hand, upon You is forsaken the hapless orphan, You are Who becomes the Helper.
15 Break the sowing arm of the criminal and the evil, holding him responsible for his wickedness which isn't being found out!
16 Yâ-hwéh is the King of eternity and the Testimony, the heathen masses are to perish from His land.
17 Yâ-hwéh, You have heard the longings of the lowly, You are preparing their heart, You cause Your ear to pay attention
18 to pronounce judgment for the parentless and the oppressed,
"Mortal man from the earth shall never again cause fear!"

1 Qorinthíym 5 (1 Corinthians 5)

To purge out the old ferment: a meaning of the feast of the unfermented bread
1 For fornication among you is heard everywhere, and such fornication that is not even done among the heathen masses: so a son is to also have a wife of his father!
2 And ye are haughty, and did not rather mourn in order that he who performed this work might be removed out from your midst!
3 For I have already judged as being present the one committing this out thus – being indeed absent in body yet being present in spirit,
4 by the name of Yâ-hwéh Yâhuwshúa: Ye being gathered together with my spirit, together with the Force of our Sovereign Yâhuwshúa the Anointed One –
5 to give over the one of this sort to the Adversary for the destruction of his body, for spiritually he shall be made to live in the Day of Yâ-hwéh Yâhuwshúa` the Deliverer!
6 Your boasting is not virtuous. Don't ye understand that a little ferment causes the whole lump of dough to ferment?
7 Therefore, purge out the old ferment, in order that ye may be a new lump of dough, since ye are Matstsówth ("sweetness" [unfermented]). For also our Phâ ́çech (Exemption ["Passover"]) is the Anointed One Who was slaughtered instead of us.
8 Consequently, we should celebrate the feast, not with old ferment, nor with ferment of the Wickedness and depravity [3 Moshéh 23: 17], instead with Matstsówth ("sweetness" [unfermented]) bread of clear purity and the Truth.
9 I wrote to you within the letter to not mix with male whores,
10 yet, not to never ever be with the male whores of this world, or with the avaricious, or robbers, or image-worshippers, since then ye ought to exit from the world!
11 But now I did write to you to not mix with one, if anyone who is a brother is identified to be either a male whore, or avaricious, or an image-worshipper, or abusive, or a drunkard, or a robber – to not even eat bread together with one of this sort!
12 Why would it be mine also to judge those outside, when ye do not judge those within?
13 But Yâ-hwéh shall judge those outside, yet ye should remove the harmful one from among yourselves.

May it be an evening star
Shines down upon you
May it be when darkness falls
Your heart will be true
You walk a lonely road

(Chorus)
Mornie utùlië (darkness has come)
Mornie utùlië (1)
Believe and you will find your way...
Mornie alantië (darkness has fallen)

A promise lives within you now...

May it be the shadows call
Will fly away
May it be your journey on
To light the day
When the night is overcome
You may rise to find the sun

Luke 14

1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
7 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.
8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
15 And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Ezra 4

1 Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the Lord God of Israel;
2 Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither.
3 But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the Lord God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.
4 Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building,
5 And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.
6 And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they unto him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.
7 And in the days of Artaxerxes wrote Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of their companions, unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian tongue, and interpreted in the Syrian tongue.
8 Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this sort:
9 Then wrote Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their companions; the Dinaites, the Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites, the Babylonians, the Susanchites, the Dehavites, and the Elamites,
10 And the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time.
11 This is the copy of the letter that they sent unto him, even unto Artaxerxes the king; Thy servants the men on this side the river, and at such a time.
12 Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations.
13 Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings.
14 Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;
15 That search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time: for which cause was this city destroyed.
16 We certify the king that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river.
17 Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time.
18 The letter which ye sent unto us hath been plainly read before me.
19 And I commanded, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein.
20 There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
21 Give ye now commandment to cause these men to cease, and that this city be not builded, until another commandment shall be given from me.
22 Take heed now that ye fail not to do this: why should damage grow to the hurt of the kings?
23 Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power.
24 Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.

Luke 13

1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Ezra 3

1 And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
2 Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
3 And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the Lord, even burnt offerings morning and evening.
4 They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required;
5 And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the Lord that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the Lord.
6 From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the Lord. But the foundation of the temple of the Lord was not yet laid.
7 They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.
8 Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the Lord.
9 Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brethren the Levites.
10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the Lord, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.
11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the Lord; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
12 But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
13 So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

Luke 12

1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
54 And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
