#trials

The British Medical Journal (BMJ) now has a whole section on #acupuncture, which includes guidance on clinical #trials, economic analysis, and development of clinical practice guidelines (1). Acupuncture is now recommended in many countries as a viable #treatment strategy for the management of various conditions and has found a growing place in integrative #medicine (2).

And in adition to that, Stephen Birch et al have been documenting the number of clinical practice guidelines and treatment guidelines recommending for or against acupuncture for some years now. At the ICMART conference in Bologna in October (3) Birch presented the team's latest figures, namely 9,340 recommendations for acupuncture and 402 against. Most of the recommendations against were based on "insufficient evidence". Recently Stephen has turned his attention to Australian Federal and State Government Health Departments' advice on acupuncture published on sponsored or recommended websites.

People with #Parkinson’s #disease who combine standard medication with various types of #acupuncture treatments may see improvements in their motor function and quality of life, a review study from #China suggests.

However, its researchers noted that additional #clinical #trials are necessary to validate these findings.

The study, “Acupuncture-Related Therapies for Parkinson’s Disease: A Meta-Analysis and Qualitative Review,” was published in the journal Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience.

Pfizer Releases Brand New, Never-Before-Seen Drug 'Pfivermectin'

U.S.—After several successful rounds of #trials and a quick overnight #approval from the #FDA, #Pfizer proudly announced they will be releasing a brand new, never-before-seen #COVID #drug "Pfivermectin."

"It's important to understand that this drug is nothing like #Ivermectin, even though Pfivermectin rhymes with Ivermectin and it pretty much does the exact same thing," said Pfizer CEO Hans Pfizer. "Everyone knows Ivermectin is a widely discredited #horse drug, and ours is not. Very #important distinction there."

#Experts say that taking two doses of Pfivermectin #every #day at the first sign of COVID symptoms could lessen the severity and duration of the infection. Ivermectin will do the same thing, except it may also turn you into a horse and make everyone laugh at you. Not good!

A Pfizer spokesman also confirmed that their drug will be approximately 30,000% more #expensive than Ivermectin.

"Don't worry about the cost," said the spokesman. "The #government will cover the cost. Besides, that's a small price to pay to not turn into a horse!"

"It does not matter the #circumstances, #trials, or #challenges that might surround us; an #understanding of the #doctrine of #Christ and His #Atonement will be the source of our #strength and #peace—yes, brothers and sisters, that internal #tranquility that is born of the #Spirit and which the #Lord gives to His #faithful #Saints. He nourishes us, saying: “ #Peace I leave with you. … Let not your heart be #troubled, neither let it be #afraid” John 14:27 ~ Benjamin de #Hoyos.
