Love the visuals. I would watch this movie. But I'm not sure why it's been given a narration suitable for a documentary about the migratory habits of the woodlouse. Also, the music. I mean, there are some excellent movies from this era (obviously), but with some important exceptions their soundtracks tend to be pretty ghastly... but not this ghastly. Pretty sure moviegoers have always been expecting THRILLS ! SPILLS ! EXCITMENT ! DANGER ! WITH ONE THOUSAND OLIPHANTS ! and so forth, and even the most penny-pinching directory could have sprung for a better soundtrack than a single novice trumpeter.

Historical Dictionary of Science Fiction
Hmm... looks like it may have interest potential for some of you folks out there.
Personally I thought Ridley Scott's Napoleon was great. A friend of mine is insisting that it's mediocre at best, all the critics say so, therefore my opinion is for some reason invalid. This is extremely irritating because it doesn't actually stop me enjoying the damn film in the slightest.
Anyway, here's what I thought of it. Really glad I saw it at the cinema.

I finally saw Oppenheimer, and after a run of hugely disappointing Nolan films, I was delighted to find that this is finally a return to form. I give special praise for it not doing the obvious trope of having Oppenheimer as a misunderstood misanthropic lone genius, but there's also some some damn clever storytelling in there as well.

Oscar shortlist includes Ukrainian film '20 Days in Mariupol'
The film was directed by Ukrainian photographer, photojournalist, and filmmaker Mstyslav Chernov, who was working for the Associated Press as Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The documentary records the Russian siege of Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast from the perspective of Chernov and his crew during the first weeks of the full-scale invasion. The film comprises 30 hours of footage they shot in Mariupol amid the siege.
