It has been many months since I posted any #photographs of a #sunset, so here is this evening's -- the first full day of #spring. I like the mixture of #blue, with an area of #red, #orange and #yellow about the #Sun and the interesting shapes of the #clouds.

Last #Photographs from #KewGardens for now.

The previous time I had been to Kew was over a quarter of a century ago. Some things have changed, like this #TreeTopWalk. It is about 18 m above the ground.

I have to admit that it feels a lot higher when you're up there, particularly with the #MeshWalkway. Best not to look down too often if you're a bit scared of heights. The creaking doesn't helps your confidence much either.

It's difficult to give an impression of the height of the walkway. This is the best I could do.

From the elevated vantage point, the #TemperateHouse can be seen from a nicer perspective.

Earlier today, I used a #MacroLens to #photograph a subject close up. Now I switched to a #telephoto lens with a #FocalLength of 400 mm to capture objects effectively at #infinity.

You may have seen some of my #sunset #photographs before and, yes, it's the same #horizon and the same old #Sun but this one caught my eye because of its sharpness. There wasn't a cloud in the vicinity of the Sun when it was setting. You can see the bright, smoothly varying #yellow, #gold and #orange of the #sky contrasting the dark, sharp #silhouettes of the #trees in the #foreground. Also there's that mobile phone mast too.

#Cropping the image around our local #star, you see the #trees in what I'm calling #ExtremeSilhouette as the blinding light of the Sun seem to flow around solid wood and renders it invisible with only the ends of branches seemingly suspended in mid air disconnected to the trunk and giving the Sun the appearance of having spiky hair.

To use the #MacroLens requires a different technique to a zoom #lens but I'm slowly getting used to it. There are a few #tulip #flowers blooming at present in the #garden and so here are some #photographs of them in close up.

This is the another one of the #photographs of the little #spider I took yesterday but I've cropped the image to be 1280x1920 and furthermore, just imported it into #gimp, which has deepened the #hues somewhat. Again, marking it as #NSFW in case you are a bit squeamish about its hairy legs and suspended body--I am.
