✨ :: 47-53 [AL] Winter Weekend ::

Here's a piece following this season's festivities! I've never eaten a Yule Log before, but I do love Swiss rolls.

This drawing features some of the kiddos from my 'Another Life' story. It's basically a spin-off where all my OCs from all my stories coexist.

From left, kiddos who are present are Shintaro, Sindri, Manel and the ones not facing us is Rosa, Piht, and Rocío. Idun and Thiazi are not here. The one serving the Yule Log is Terenzio. Outside through the window, we can see Adrià (Manel's dad) inviting Shin's parents in (yes, Shin had excitedly run off to see his friends).

None of them have ever seen Yule Log cakes, so it makes one wonder where this could have come from.

And just like with Sugar Skulls, I realised that I failed to make the food item as the focus of the drawing, again. It's in the centre, yes, but kinda small and surrounded by other 'bigger' things. But ehh idk.

P/S: Originally, I was hoping to make a big one featuring my RO duo and my own OCs (the main ones) that might total to 12 or so people; but that was a bit too ambitious and I'm kinda drained from life events. So, I scrapped that idea. :< Yet, here I am drawing a picture that has 10 people. I do not understand my actions, haha. x'D

A Piht Does What A Piht Wants -- featuring my little bean, Piht the Piht who is relaxing after eating pearl millets and playing with his toy ball.

What's a Piht? Free spirit. Fluff of joy. Embodiment of free will and freedom.
(They're a race in my story based on Eurasian Tree Sparrows. They are small and love to be in groups. Males have black spots on the cheeks, usually very visible once reaching adulthood. But don't mind Piht's.)

My old OCs (as in created for a long time already). From left: Priscilla, Clara Alexandra, Marinette Lochlann, Dandelia Andrews, and Starr.

Background is [2D cartoon city street vector] by Yuliya Pauliukevich. I only added the lower half to fill in the rest of the blank space.

I really wanted to draw so much but was out of ideas; and then I decided to draw my old OCs. They were originally in a medieval fantasy setting (the overpopular setting, lol); but I also had them in an AU set in present time... and that time was 1999.

Priscilla is a fashion model, graceful like an angel; Clara is a rollerskating tough cookie; Marinette was her rebellious bestie who could sing; Dandelia was a fan of mystical things and loved to swim; and Starr is just a free spirit.

A collaboration for Halloween art with @/Classoo on dA~
Featuring our OCs, my laidback Idun and her vogue Claudia! Idun is dressed as angel, while Claudia is dressed as devil. They're at a Halloween event and they've won award for best costume! Well, those costumes sure look realistic, those wings and teeth... o_O

We officially started the collab on 14th Sept, slowly completing our parts. I took so long for Idun because I wasn't sure how to design and colour her dress, hahaha. But ehhh all in all, it was a fun time, got to practise my non-chibi drawing a bit, hehehe...

This is Kit Cyril and that's his office. He is important. His birthday was on 15th Oct, but I am late... :<

Cyril was known for being the exiled Silveryan who clawed his way up into becoming a wealthy, classy man in Sigma with a taste for nothing lesser than the best... though he does have a liking for toffees and soda. He became CEO of the leading pharmaceutical company, Neo-Pharma and sponsored major projects that the Megacorporation worked on, led by Prof. 'Sage Williams'. During the last years of his life, he helped Vic adjust himself to Sigma (and this kind of hospitality is extremely rare in Sigma).

Although reluctant, the Government of Sigma declares Kit Cyril as part of the realm's history, having contributed to the realm in significant ways. Without Cyril, Sigma would not have a portal machine, an inter-realm transit, and a Reprogram machine (which had helped optimise the human capital).

A'ight, this might be my last one for now since I have been occupied with other things and haven't been drawing.

Prompt 25: Eating their friend's food without asking...
...because when a Vic has to eat, he will eat -- even if he doesn't like fish snacks. Hmm, Tsumura gonna be upset when he comes in.

Finally, a main character returns to the scene. This is Vic the glutton who does not gain weight cuz he a dead boi. Back when he worked at the Megacorp, he'd raid the office pantry. Nowadays it's a bit hard since he can't pull off that stunt easily in the barracks, though. Not yet.

Cool boss Aaron here is chilling not on a field but in his field -- in this case, managerial field, haha. Once he steps into his office, no one can stop his e-mails. Once he steps out for meetings, no one can stop him from talking his way into things. That's just Aaron chilling out, (happily) swimming in corporate culture and procedures.

But these days... well, being thrown into a construction sector up north makes him add another thing to his work: yelling around, but they say that's no problem for ESTJ types. x'D

IT'S AUGUSTTTT~~ A pal on dA showed me [a list of prompts] for making OC drawings. It seems like a good list of 54 ideas and I do need to draw my OCs! I usually do prompts list in Me Olde Sketch style (that's not an official name, lol) which is usually pencil and highlighters. So, let's begin! I got a few already sketched, and I hope I can keep going.

✨ Prompt 1: Taking a bath.
This is Piht the Piht, and while Pihts usually take baths in sand, Piht here takes 'em in water because it's hot and dry these days. You gotta stay cooled and hydrated! And Pihts would twist and flap and go splish-splash when they bathe... so... hope you didn't get wet.

Meet the Count of the Forbidden City; and according to Jayden, this man was Vic's biological father. If you confused him with Vic, it's perfectly fine because even Vic thought it was himself when he had accidentally ventured into the Forbidden City and saw the Count's portrait (which is supposed to look like this drawing, only more regal). x'D

I created him very long ago, and I am so not changing anything. x'D My inspi for him and his mansion: Vic himself; Resident Evil (1996 game); and 'Hotel California' (1977 song) by The Eagles.

This testing is not certified by any certification agencies, lol.
My OCs, Rosa and Manel. Inspired by dA's Daily Challenge for 10th June, #pinkandgreen but obviously, I am late. x'D And I wish I had the willpower to add more details but aaaaaaa I even forgot Rosa's little witch hat x'DDD

Rosa is trying to improve her potions, but she needs to make sure these potions will not end up being poisonous or toxic. She calls forth Manel who is a Místic to test out her improved formulae. Místics are immune to poison and the worst they could get from ingesting a lethal dose of poison is a fever and/or severe diarrhea... fainting is possible but ehh... point is, they won't die.

"So OK, I got here some samples," says Rosa. "C'mon, sit down. I have only, like, three to four types of potion for you to drink."
"But Rosa..." says Manel as he sits at the table. "...this is a bit too much for me to test in one go...?"
"It's OK, you can stay the night if you faint."
"I won't faint." Manel then stares at the potion bottles. "Don't you have them in cups?"
"Oh, I am also testing the bottle design. I redesigned them a bit."
"Right... Uhm... none of them will turn me into a spider or some other thing, right?" Manel asks nervously.
Rosa frowns. "What? Of course not!" she says. "Transformation potions don't exist, silly. Drink up~"

My OC, Adrià from my story, 'The Principality'; sometimes nicknamed Adrià de la Naturalesa.

Adrià does a (Tarot) reading before starting his day, with a bad habit of pulling out clarification cards. Somewhere along the way, however, Adrià was given visions of a possible future, should nothing in the present change.

Someone is going to die. A dear family to some, and an important figure to the realm. He bears in mind what his insights showed him, a foreboding turn of events in the near future -- doubtful if he can change anything, or if he is even meant to.

Of course, my art does not do this runway-worthy uniform any justice. I just thought it'd be funny to have Byronix in the Onyx. After all, his anthro name is 'Black Onyx'. xD Vic calls him Bunnix, but that's fine because Onyx Bunnix still rhymes nicely.

I rarely draw Byronix (or anthros even), so his appearance vary from drawing to drawing.

Hello, everyone! This is a collab art between @/PeachyProtist (dA) and I!
Featuring their biggest winged boi, Damon Gervazy and my smallest winged bean, Piht the Piht! And OHHH what a HUGE contrast in size, ladies and gentlemen!

These two are like the case of the hummingbird who builds its nest near that of a hawk's. The hawk does not hunt the hummer because it is too small for a meal and is hard to catch; but the hummer gets protection from other birds (like Mexican Jays) because no one messes with a hawk.

ANYWAY.

Hello, yes I am still alive. Just that I have no mood to draw but when I have mood, I have no time... Ah ha ha...

These are my characters. I decided to draw the alternate outfits for some of them. Credits in the endnote. Also, Rocío's shroom is most likely the Liberty Cap (sine she is an adopted character, I asked her designer to confirm).

That aside, below the drawing are some descriptions on them, if you want to know them a bit (or as a refresher on my OCs).

Thiazi the Bully: used to bully smaller birbs, but he's now a soldier doing a good job in another realm; performs his duties well after a praise or recognition; a terrible singer.
Sindri Malle the Strange: a bird of few words; likes to climb than fly; eats more apple than meat; his courtship of Rocío failed probably due to elemental mismatch.
Manel the Curious: aspiring writer; loves murder mysteries; roams about carefreely; is besties with Sindri and Shin; got drunk on poison during Christmas 2 yrs ago.
Aoi Shintaro the Kind: your boy-next-door; soft-spoken watercolour artist and potential influencer together with Rocío, his gf; love listening to Lo-Fi when painting.
Rocío the Mushroom Girl: direct; cares about appearance; Shin's gf; besties with Rosa; self-proclaimed ambassador of Rosa's skincare products; don't touch her bonsai.
Piht the Piht: a Piht does what a Piht does; a sociable birb; sometimes helps Rosa gather raw materials; can't tell Pihts apart when all Pihts gather in one spot.
Rosa Peace Meilland the Apprentice Witch: always looking out for the best potions and salves materials. Does your skin need moisture like a shroom? Rosa can help you.
Idun Malle the Sharp-teethed: Sindri's strong little sister; enjoys perching and eating Nocturnal pies; 100% guarantee will grow up beautiful like angel... who bites.

Just a random short comic (but canon) which I have the miraculous chance to draw out. Features Vic the newbie techie, Aaron the manager, and Tsumura the hacker.

Vic asks Tsumura for answers because Tsumura can hack into the government's database on all Sigma inhabitants and once peeked at Aaron's records. Asking Tsumura was also how Vic knew who and what he is.

Does anyone have a guess on what Aaron's main gig might be? o_O
(even I don't know it!)

Well, after a crazy wintery time up in Northern District, Vic finally gets a break.

First thing he's gonna do is head home to his little apartment in Capital District and change the wheels of his skateboard. Winter wheels, out; normal wheels in.

He's going to skate all day long at his favourite spot. Just him and his board.

Happy holidays, everybody. 🎄 May y'all be able to spend it with people who are precious to you.

Complementing BGM: [Jeremy Soule – "Snow Covered Landscape"] (Dungeon Siege II OST, 2005)

I wanted to draw something for the winter as I usually would, but I had no idea of what and who to draw. My pal, @/TheSalguod on dA gave me an idea, so here it is. I forgot to add Vic's dark circles under his eyesssss aaaaaaaaa (will edit the dA version only later on)

While everyone gets cosy and comfy in their homes or being with close friends and families, our lone ranger Vic travels from the Northern District back to the Capital District during this time off. He's got no friends up north or whatever anyway (and Aaron doesn't count as one). Once in the Capital, he gets a call from Tsumura to hang out; maybe grab a drink at Crimson Angel Restaurant. Vic was about to decline because he'd prefer to be on his own, but then he realised it's the holidays, man. And so here they are, having hot chocolate and taking a break from life.

Vic thinks to himself that maybe he does have a friend, after all. And sure, it snows almost every day in Sigma, but sometimes even the most mundane of things feel better when enjoyed with good company.
