Doctors Without Borders said that the intensification of the onslaught by Israeli forces on #Rafah has forced it to stop providing lifesaving care at Rafah Indonesian Field hospital as of 12 May.

"Since Israeli forces have expanded their offensive in Rafah, it has become impossible to provide lifesaving medical assistance amid a campaign of death and destruction", the organization stated.

US Ambassador Jacob Lew says that the US is continuing to generously send more weapons to Israel.

In an interview with Israel's channel 12, #US #Ambassador Jacob Lew said that the occupation state has not crossed the red line in #Rafah and that there will be no interruption in US aid to Israel.

He added that "it is wrong to believe that anything has fundamentally changed in the relationship between Washington and Tel Aviv."

Israeli Whistleblowers Describe Torture of Gazan Detainees in Military Camp

Three Israeli whistleblowers who worked at a military detention camp in
the Negev Desert have detailed to CNN the horrific abuse faced by Gazans
detained since October 7. One whistleblower shared photographs that show
Palestinians being strapped down, blindfolded and held in diapers at the
site. Doctors have been forced to amputate the limbs of some prisoners
due to injuries sustained from constant handcuffing. One whistleblower
said they beat Palestinians not to gather intelligence, but out of
revenge.

Pendant que certains nous disent que ce n’est pas un conflit religieux, mais que c’est juste un conflit territorial, qui va se régler avec le droit international, en appliquant quelques résolutions de l’ONU conjugué à des manifestations et un boycott.
Netanyahou ne bégaye pas, il annonce la couleur. Il se sent investi d’une mission divine, comme les croisés jadis qui ont effectué 9 croisades en terre sainte pour tenter de voler la Palestine aux Musulmans.

Yesterday I watched the livestream of the joint Israeli-Palestinian #remembrance day ceremony, an alternative to the mainstream Israeli ceremonies, organised by the Israeli-Palestinian Bereaved Families for Peace. It's hard to describe to anyone who hasn't lived through war how important this coming together is.

The ceremony was powerful, with raw pain uncensored. On the one hand, it acknowledged the universal experience of loss, and the yearning for freedom and #peace. On the other, it didn't shy away from the power asymmetry and injustices, including the ongoing horrors in #Gaza. An hour and a half which had me crying more than once.

These are the discussions we need if we're going to have a future co-existence with peace, freedom and dignity. Neither Israelis nor Palestinians are going anywhere, and living together is the only option. #Israel #Palestine
