It's really sad to see people turn into stooges of dictators because of their hate.
I used to have a lot of respect for Scot Ritter. Bought his book about weapons inspection of Iraq and his opposition to Iraq invasion.
But lately he has turned into a spook person for Putin and comes up with such ridiculous analysis of Russian "performance" and "winning" that it kind of remind me of the Monty Python sketch with the black knight.
It's turning into a comic performance that he seems to see only positive about Russians actions, despite massive losses in both man power, equipment and occupied land.
His latest analysis are once again so wishful thinking that it makes me laugh.

Scott Ritter, the former UN inspecteur in Iraq and US military veteran has turned to Russian military apologist and supporter on social media.

He was trending on Twitter for several hours with many videos and interviews claiming that the Russians left occupied territories to prevent large civilian death by Ukrainian forces.
He also says Ukraine has lost close to 80 000 soldiers and Russian losses are around 20k.
Another claim he keeps repeating is that most videos of Russian losses are actually Ukrainian equipment that were marked with Z for propaganda and NATO is directly in charge of the military operations in Ukraine right now.

I've been interested in the developments in the #media since after the invasion of #Ukraine. It seems to me that the west is trying hard to control the #narrative in it's own countries. I see different ways that this is done:
- Blocking / #censorship of media organizations (ex: blocking access to #RT/s #youtube channel)
- #Kill-lists for journalists (the Ukraine has one of these where they put names of journalists like #EvaBartlett / #EvaKBartlett)
- Making it illegal for #journalists to report (like Germany has done with #AlinaLipp)
- #Blocking people on twitter when they become popular enough and therefore threaten the #narrative (as with #ScottRitter)
- #Demonitizing videos on youtube or removing payment services for journalists
Please comment if you have suggestions for improving the list, or more examples
PS: In addition to these #restrictions on journalists, there must be a lot of initiatives to strengthen the #narrative that the west is itself creating, but i don't know much about those
