Debra Messing mocks Motaz Azaiza for leaving Gaza

Imagine being such a shit-for-brain entitlement freaking jerk to actually try making fun of a young man who hasn't done anything to her or done anything wrong other than reporting about the war and death of his home and family.

Debra took to her official Instagram account and posted on her story a picture of Motaz at the airport and said "WATCH, GQ "Man of the Year" and Gaza "journalist" leaves for Qatar, very interesting decision." putting Man of the Year and "Journalist" in quotations which shows a mocking and disrespectful manner to the individual.

This normally caused outrage among social media users with several taking to X (formerly Twitter) to state their opinion on the matter:

"Mocking a man who witnessed and documented an ongoing genocide for over 100 days while you sit inside your luxury home in New York? The absolute nerve..."

And

"Some people especially in the West, do not have a moral compass to know what's wrong and what's right."
Alao
"What is Debra Messing’s problem? Who gave her the right to criticize/mock Motaz Azaiza’s decision after everything he went through?"

In the mean time, 100s and 1000s of users have been suspended because of " mocking the victims of terrorism " or " showing support for terrorists " among other lame excuses #Meta (#Facebook and #Instagram) have used as an excuse to justify their censorship.

A Strange Hill to Die

At some point, even these reality-challenged sportswriters have got to find themselves thinking, “you know, maybe Novak Djokovic knew what he was doing when he gave up his chance at two Majors in order to avoid taking the vaxx.” The irony, of course, is that #Djokovic didn’t even metaphorically die, as he is now widely recognized as the greatest #tennis player of all time, whereas the journalist Dixon is now, quite literally, #dead.

I’ve followed sports my entire life, and I don’t ever recall seeing #coaches, #journalists, and #players #collapsing and #dying the way they have been since the #vaxx was pushed them.

‘It is a time of witch hunts in Israel’: teacher held in solitary confinement for posting concern about Gaza deaths

🔶️ Inside Israel, veteran journalists, intellectuals and rights activists say, there is little public space for dissent about the war in Gaza, even three months into an offensive that has killed 23,000 Palestinians and has no end in sight. “Make no mistake: Baruchin was used as a political tool to send a political message. The motive for his arrest was deterrence – silencing any criticism or any hint of protest against Israeli policy,” the long-established Haaretz newspaper said in an editorial.

#CNN Admits 'Disturbing' Israel-Palestine Coverage Policy 'Has Been in Place for Years'
JULIA CONLEY
Jan 05, 2024

..."CNN has long been criticized by #media analysts and #journalists for its deference to the #Israeli government and the Israel Defense Forces in its coverage of the occupied #Palestinian territories, and the cable network admitted Thursday that it follows a protocol that could give Israeli censors influence over its stories.
...
"Every single Israel-Palestine-related line for reporting must seek approval from the [Jerusalem] bureau—or, when the bureau is not
staffed, from a select few handpicked by the bureau and senior management—from which lines are most often edited with a very specific nuance," the staffer said.
...
CNN's senior director of news standards and practices, David Lindsey, told journalists in a November 2 memo that "#Hamas representatives are engaging in inflammatory rhetoric and propaganda... We should be careful not to give it a platform."

Another email sent in October suggested that the network aimed to present the Ministry of Health's casualty figures as questionable, with the News Standards and Practices division telling staffers, "Hamas controls the government in #Gaza and we should describe the Ministry of Health as 'Hamas-controlled' whenever we are referring to casualty statistics or other claims related to the present conflict."

Newsroom employees were advised to "remind our audiences of the immediate cause of this current conflict, namely the Hamas attack and mass murder and kidnap of #Israeli civilians" on October 7.

At least 22,600 people have been confirmed killed in Gaza and 57,910 have been wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. Thousands more are feared dead under the rubble left behind by airstrikes. In Israel, the death toll from Hamas' attack stands at 1,139.

Jim Naureckas, editor of the watchdog group Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting, noted that the Israeli government is controlling journalists' reporting on Gaza as it's been "credibly accused of singling out journalists for violent attacks in order to suppress information."...

When the New York Times lost its way
By James Bennet

..."Whether or not American #democracy endures, a central question historians are sure to ask about this era is why America came to elect Donald #Trump, promoting him from a symptom of the country’s institutional, political and social degradation to its agent-in-chief. There are many reasons for Trump’s ascent, but changes in the American news #media played a critical role. Trump’s manipulation and every one of his political lies became more powerful because #journalists had forfeited what had always been most valuable about their work: their #credibility as arbiters of truth and brokers of ideas, which for more than a century, despite all of journalism’s flaws and failures, had been a bulwark of how Americans govern themselves.

I hope those historians will also be able to tell the story of how journalism found its footing again – how editors, reporters and readers, too, came to recognise that journalism needed to change to fulfil its potential in restoring the health of American politics. As Trump’s nomination and possible re-election loom, that work could not be more urgent.
...
leaders of many workplaces and boardrooms across America find that it is so much easier to compromise than to confront – to give a little ground today in the belief you can ultimately bring people around. This is how reasonable Republican leaders lost control of their party to Trump and how liberal-minded college presidents lost control of their campuses. And it is why the leadership of the New York Times is losing control of its principles.
...
As everyone knows, the internet knocked the industry off its foundations. Local newspapers were the proving ground between college campuses and national newsrooms. As they disintegrated, the national news media lost a source of seasoned reporters and many Americans lost a journalism whose truth they could verify with their own eyes. As the country became more polarised, the national media followed the money by serving partisan audiences the versions of reality they preferred. This relationship proved self-reinforcing. As Americans became freer to choose among alternative versions of reality, their polarisation intensified. When I was at the Times, the newsroom editors worked hardest to keep Washington coverage open and unbiased, no easy task in the Trump era. And there are still people, in the Washington bureau and across the Times, doing work as fine as can be found in American journalism. But as the top editors let bias creep into certain areas of coverage, such as culture, lifestyle and business, that made the core harder to defend and undermined the authority of even the best reporters."...

In another outrageous attack against #journalists in #Gaza, Israeli border guards (Israeli soldiers) severely attacked Anadolu Agency reporter on live TV in #Jerusalem.

They just don't give a rats ass about being recorded and viewed.

Israeli police and military know well that they are untouchable and above all national and international laws.

No one who doesn't want to comitt career suicide dares to criticize much less take action against them.

This is just a clear proof that we are living in a world where Israel is free to do whatever they desire.

Western MSM accuse Israel of deliberately killing Lebanese journalist

Israeli tank fire killed Reuters videographer Issam Abdallah and injured six other international #journalists in a double strike in southern #Lebanon on October 13, forensic analysis by #CNN suggests, confirming reports by two news organizations and two human rights groups.

On Thursday, #Reuters, AFP, #Amnesty Int’l & Human Rights Watch released investigations into the circumstances of the deadly strike. #AFP & #HRW claimed it was a “deliberate,” targeted attack.

Post by Jim Sciutto on X

📝 It's unfortunate these MSM news outlets didn't bother to include the two Al-Mayadeen journalists who were killed in a drone strike in an open area.
